I've probably seen 15 TWD episodes - not really my thing - but I always agreed with Greenwald that it would be ideal as an anthology series.

if youve seen one or more youve basically seen them all....zombie stuff on occasion can work really well as a movie...but grows stale on tv real quick...going anthology would help this but it still could only go so far...walking dead is already quasi anthology with as many people that leave and enter the cast and the many different locations yet it still goes nowhere 90% of the time

I thought it was a mildly amusing suggestion that it was the Earth itself rebelling and putting a hurt on humans because of the damage we've done to her.  I liked it because, as you all well know, I hate humans and think that most of you should be sent packing.

And if you watched AMC at all prior to the debut of FTWD you know they promoted it to the point where a drinking game could have been devised over its frequency.  My wife and daughter like it because of the family aspect.  I tried to explain that the characters they love so much are destined to all die horrible deaths and not to get too invested in them, but to no avail.

Both of them were beside themselves over the events of Sunday's episode too and the funny thing is my daughter has now read all the graphic novels, yet she was still on the verge of tears.  That's cool, though.  At least she's not a cynical, self-hating, soulless icehole like her old man.

I for one hope glenn is still around and meets the same demise as he did in the books.  :yay

i havent watched TWD this year

is it good? or is the same show where its just gong to be an endless cycle of characters dying and new characters coming in and dying and them going for setting to setting, destroying everything, killing people, etc.

its already on s6, around the time when good dramas start getting toward the end point. it doesnt seem like this show ever wants to reach an end point.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Sgt PSN

Fear The Walking Dead should (I hope) have a relatively short shelf life, but I'm sure it won't. The show has basically answered the question that TWD fans have....what happened during the 3 or 4 week period that Rick was in the hospital during the pilot?

That question has, more or less been answered.  So unless the show is going to reveal a deeper, more detailed answer, there's really no reason for it to continue beyond a 2nd season. But they won't. They're taking it out to sea and it's going to become a pirate show, I think.

its been the same show for five years and has ratings thru the roof....why would they make it good all of a sudden

from what i read the ratings are a bit down this year....generally they dont go back up

of course they are so good even if they lost 5 million it would still be a giant number. but it appears that the audience erosion has begun.

it reminds me of how i felt about dexter. its going to be the same show and the same story cycles, so there really is no payoff to watch it.

TWD would still be a top 5 rated show if it were on a broadcast network.  Last week's episode got 13.1 million viewers.  That is a terrific number considering it's on AMC and it's in its sixth season.

I wasn't crazy about last year's episodes but this year has been excellent so far.  It's only 3 episodes in, but still... week 2 was a high point in the series quality-wise.

also, you brought up into the badlands earlier. im def checking that out.

I really want to like that, but some of the action just doesn't work for me. Don't get me wrong - I enjoy a decent martial arts flick, but when people start hovering and flying across the courtyard, it just loses me.

The Leftovers has been really tough to follow compared to the first season.  That's quite a feat considering the first season was all over the place.  3 Episodes in, Who wants a Hug.

A few weeks back turned on the tv and CBS's Life in Pieces was playing.  I'm not a network tv guy, but it's been surprisingly funny.  DVR is set to record, never really got into Modern Family but it's the same format.

I hear that, id rather save the flying people for marvel & dc but i'll give it shot and see how it looks. I like premise, let's see how it looks on the screen.
