felix sandstrom....ive seen a few places call him the best goalie in the draft...not sure how they got him at 70...maybe a terrible goalie draft...but if he is in the mix for best in the draft then 70 seems like a steal

heres why...

Sandstrom missed chunks of the season due to various ailments, after he came into the season as a top prospect. This lack of playing time has led to divisive stances within the industry, with some scouts claiming he's clearly good enough to go in the top two rounds and others stating he's more of a middle-round selection. Sandstrom has shown advanced play for several seasons and has impressive raw tools. He moves pretty well for a player his size, while not being erratic. His goaltender IQ grades high, as he tracks the puck pretty well and stays ahead of the play. Sandstrom is a roll of the dice, as its not outside the realm of possibility that he's in the NHL within three or four years, but his lack of playing time could scare teams.

My immediate knee jerk reaction to any Flyers/goalie news of any sort is dread. Even this, which seems like a reasonable, low impact drafting of some dude named Felix. Dread.

this seems too good to be true but corey proman who is espn.com's hockey guy had david kase as his 30th best prospect....flyers got him at 129

He's a quick, shifty skater who can lead a rush and is elusive in tight spaces. He's a great playmaker, who can dictate the play on the man advantage with his skill and vision. He also shows the willingness and hockey IQ to be an effective defensive player; as he gains strength, that aspect of his game should improve even more. He hasn't really produced gaudy numbers, but on a scouting level, I think he's looked fantastic at times and has the ability to be a potential home run for the team that lands him.

Well ahead of older brother Ondrej in development at the same age, David Kase is a wrecking ball of skill who shows both utility and fireworks offensively. A first round pick of the Armada in the Q, Kase was the clear leader of the CZE U17 team in Nova Scotia. On display was an impact player game to game who showed a routine ability to beat opponent's one on one and finish high skill plays off.

At the U18, he clearly was reeled in a bit as a result of the bigger, faster players, but still managed to score some big goals and display heart all over the ice. As a fast, though chippy skater, he can stand to improve his agility and overall fluidity of stride. Very light on his skates this past season, natural growth in size and keeping a high compete level should be enough to keep him ahead of the curve as the stakes get raised
