rewatch s1, sd....it aint all that

the plot is pedestrian and the story is cliched. its all in the directing and maconohay chewing scenary. the further i get away from it the more i dislike it. i mean dont get me wrong its not bad, its just had a lot of fluff and hype.

s2 has lke igy said a weak cast....no cary farginaga.....and the critics really soured on it toward the end and as they got further away from it, too.

first season was ok...but the minute the cast was released for this season you knew it was going to be garbage

True Detective blew. I thought Farell was decent, but Vaughn and his red headed wife were horrible. The story line was all over the place, discombobulated, and made no sense. I remember last season started out in a similar fashion but you could piece it together a little more. The one redeeming scene was when he beats the dad with the brass knuckles.

true detective - meh. not promising. tons of unintentional comedy potential, though.
ballers - entourage for retards except about football. gonna be stupid enjoyable summer fare. definitely passes the mds test. turn off your brain and your expectations for quality and the 30 minutes will breeze by quickly. cameos from pimp, antonio brown, stephen jackson. chicks getting drilled in the club bathroom. the nfl is going to throw a hissy fit over this.

I thought it was fine.  Reviews were so thoroughly meh that it probably reset my expectations.   I'll see where it goes.

Vaughn maybe said three words all night. He's trying to come across as this bad ass, but I'm not sold yet.

Everyone is crying about the story making sense on the first episode? How about let it develop first.

yeah vv is horribly miscast.....the chick is awful too cant remember her name....farrell and that hack kitsch werent awful altho farrell is chewing the farg out of his role....basically a caricature of a caricature....i dont see the story being anything more than a standard cop procedural fair
