That's because it's not.  At least you're in Delaware.  I must be out of my mind for allowing my kid to walk into a high school right now but she's 21 and fully vaxxed and will be masked up come hell or high water.

Yeah it could definitely be worse. But having classes of 30 and 32 (and only 29 desks in my room VERY moderately spaced out lol) in my room that has my co-teacher's desk taking up space is driving me insane. And then seeing the hallways between classes is...yeesh.

Really hoping we at least get another social studies teacher unit added so we shrink down some of these classes.

I learned what a biPap machine is yesterday.  I also learned that when a person's blood ox level is 84 and they've spent 4 straight days and nights in the Covid ICU ward, it's probably a good thing to avoid it by getting VACCINATED before you end up there.

I know there's nothing I could have done different with my friend and her husband but I'm feeling oddly homicidal right now.  I got a call at 2:00 from her and she was crying.  The hospital called and told her they were putting her husband on a ventilator.  I saw them both two weeks ago and they were perfectly fine.  Now she's recovering slowly and he's got a tube down his throat in a medically induced coma.   It's just enraging thinking these two people I care about failed to listen to anyone but the right-wing fargheads who insisted and continue to insist Covid is a hoax.  I thought about how she and I got into a raging fight over it after I begged her to get vaccinated and she basically told me to farg off and that she would never ever get vaccinated.  I mean, was it my fault that she turned so adamant about it?  Did I harden her stupid stance by pushing too hard?

I'm just exhausted watching friends I've had for decades end up like this.  Seriously, it feels like survivor guilt to me.

Anyway, that's where things stand.  And I could use a big farging drink right now.
