Oh there will be.

Goodell is ramrodding everything through. Start of the league year, start of free agency, draft...virus be damned.

Of the four majors the nfl is the most tone deaf so they'll force it

Good certainly and maybe great

also, Scott earned his back up spot, I'm not worried about him

I know all is doom to you...

he was a nice story because of the eagles injuries but thats about it...i guess he could become a number 3 nfl running back who mostly acts as a pass catcher and mis direction guy but he should not be anyones number two back...hes only in the position hes in now because the running back depth chart is completely barren and in a normal year hes at best a coin flip to make a team...if you think hes going to get much better then thats fair but right now hes not even the nate gerry of running backs

Are we talking about the same dude?

Scott is a baller.  I'm fine with him as #2.  Draft a young kid...roll with Sanders Scott and whoever else.

Need to worry about WR, CB, DE, and C...the RBs are fine

Scott's fine as a #3 back. Can maybe make some plays here and there...essentially a poor mans Sproles. They need a banger as their #2 back. Howard was perfect (when healthy).

how do you know tho...he has 61 carries ever and averaged 4 yards a carry in games against teams who had quit and he wouldnt have even played if not for catastrophic injuries but hes a baller?...like someone had to get the numbers with the skill guys they had at the end of the year and good for him for clocking some of them but the eagles had him for two years and didnt feel comfortable playing him until their entire backfield went down...i dont think thats a baller but i hope im wrong

i just feel like with scott the narrative blinds people to the reality

Its easy to find productive backs in the bargain bin. We all know that.

i dont disagree with that i was just saying add it to the list of big needs right now

boston scott cannot be your #2 back and as long as he is its a huge need...and like i said the 3-4 and sometimes 5 running back spots are also non existent

just two years ago they had

ajayi - sproles - clement - smallwood - adams

now

sanders - scott - holyfield - EMPTY - EMPTY

Damn I forgot about Holyfield. I'm curious to see how he does.

I agree with you. They do need some depth there. With DEN signing Gordon they may be willing to let Lindsay or Freeman go for a low pick.

I think Scott showed up big and I'd love to see more of him.  He's strong as farg, talented, hungry....why can't he be one of those finds.  He got no play time for the same reason other small duded don't...healthy guys who have cost their teams more ahead of him....under the lights when they shined, he far outplayed them.  I'll take Scott over Smallwood anyday, for example.  I don't think the opponents quit at all...those weren't easy games and each team had a good chance to play spoiler...they have pride....and Scott ran over around and through guys when everyone would have given him a pass for failing because he's small, and 5th on the depth chart.

I like the guy, I like what I saw.  I wouldn't complain if they added a veteran for a cheap one year deal and bumped Scott to 3rd string but I don't see any sense paying a dude much to back up Sanders.  Why not let Scott be that guy?  He's cheap, he earned it.... Draft a fresh RB late, add a couple bodies for competition...and focus on the much more pressing needs...WR, C, DE, CB...

There's no need to send a pick when there's a couple dozen guys available for dirt cheap.

In fact Adams is the only one of those 2018 Eagles currently signed to a roster.

Diomedes

And as I recall, igy thought Adams was trash...funny to see him referred to as a horse in a full stable

Pretty sure they have him earmarked as a backup/ST guy.

Diomedes

So, with yesterday's addition of Three Last Names, Eagles have probably finished compiling the secondary, right?

Assuming they keep 10 like last year, adding a CB from the draft:

CB #1:  Slay

CB #2:  competition /  Maddox should win

Slot:  Three Last Names

FS - McLeod

SS - Parks

depth:  Mills, Jones, Douglas, LeBlanc, rookie

If rumor that Douglas is available are true-who would trade for him??-then he's probably not making the team.  I don't think LeBlanc is much more than lucky, wouldn't care at all if he's gone too.  Jones made two plays last year so they're still probably thinking he'll become something. ...  maybe more than one rookie?

can't see any scenario where they have ten...not only do they not have enough talent to justify 10 you want your depth along the lines

also we know how much Jim Johnson loves running DL in and out all game

also very high possibility their 2nd round pick is the rookie
