Rome

They were a game out and then lost three straight while scoring a grand total of three runs.

But yes, not a meltdown.

QuoteI just saw someone citing Jean Segura as part of the problem with the team. Jean isn't even slumping in September and is going to put up 3-4 win season with a .290+ batting average and overall the 2nd best offensive year of his career.

wtf is this from...twitter

i hate because they are paying $14M for a 2B who 1)doesnt make much of a difference to winning and losing and 2)is a career 2nd division player. the contract isnt his fault, but the stupid phillies traded for him because they gave up on jp crawford - who has developed into a solid hitter with a high level glove at SS AND thought rhys hoskins the human oaf could play left field, so here comes a 3 year deal for carlos santana that they needed to immediately get out of.

meanwhile they got another of stupid jean clogging up 2B on a worthless team
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Soler with the "Season's over losers" 450+ bomb.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

MVP is 0-9, one BB, one run, 5K so far in the biggest series for this team in the last 10 years.

He'll go on his little season ending tear in Miami when they're playing in front of 250 people.

farg em.

Wake me up when the off-season starts and they make some decent moves.

What a pathetic display.

9 hits, 3 runs in 23 innings.

One giant collective piece of shtein.

Not sure if you guys watching heard the great conversation with the broadcast team about what's going on in Atlanta -  the lack of hitting? is the moment to big? Atlanta staff that good?

All agreed Morton owned their ass and they still had a chance down 1 run top 9.  Ben Davis said Fried was offering gifts yesterday the mannequins couldn't hit, defense was awful, and 7-2 later you get the drift.

Same today, Anderson is giving them balls to rope.

Both agreed not just losing to Pittsburgh on Sunday but to come out and play like complete shtein like they didn't even care and not score a run and show no life. definately carried over into this series

Inconsistency of offense, bullpen, defense - Tom McCarthy says "taking away 3 out of the 4 elements of baseball, so basically they're not a good team"

No way I'm blaming Harper.  He carried their pathetic, overpaid, overfed asses for 155 games.  He's had a tough couple of games but no one is hitting. This is four straight games of this bullshtein.

Heads gotta roll but there's no buying their way out of this mess.  Too many holes and no talent to replace them at the farm level.

Really looking forward to seeing this continue for the rest of my life.

I'd prefer "Burning Down the House" about right now.

I didn't think I'd be this pissed off.  I knew it was a pipe dream but there was a small glimmer of hope after Saturday's game, Padres might help us out, but the bums forgot to take the trash out and the rest was garbage.

Not only upset about laying an egg in Atlanta but the fact this whole organization is a mess.  FO, farm system, manager, bats disappearing for games at a time, abomonation of a bullpen, worst defensive Phils team I can remember in a very long time, ugh.

Yes, I should know better but I'm not happy right now.

QB Eagles

Not sure how anyone could have confused this team for a playoff hopeful all season. They stunk and we knew it. Only reason they got within striking distance is their abortion of a division, where all the teams are either as fundamentally flawed as the Phillies or injured enough to play like it.

Put them in any other division and they are probably ten games under .500.
