I may have overreacted. He only ended up giving up one but it was looking worse.

Anyways hate losing and wish the big bats would come alive

I hate losing in Miami!  Been to 4 games in Miami since 2019 and they draw flies, fan base doesn't give a shtein and I swear to god they pipe fake crowd noise in that place when Marlins do something. Only park with a team in the hunt where you are not standing in line for food or booze.I was in Miami last week and I could not believe the number of peole I met who despise that stadium.  Most active I've seen that place was one time I went and it was Dominican Republic night. Crowd had no idea a game was going on, there to party, dance, and watch fireworks after (which was pretty spectacular).  Could have been Don Ho Night for all they cared, any reason to party.

Sigh...Alvarado on the DL with elbow inflammation again

MDS

i wish aaron nola would get testicle inflammation
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Hope he enjoys being the "ace" somewhere like Detroit. Or maybe someone like Anaheim overpays.

Get a couple runs in to chip away and here's dipshtein putting traffic right back on the bases

Don Ho

Zero faith in this little Hoyda.  At least he didn't wait 5 innings to shtein the bed.  This was over after 3.

Nice job bats. top 5 of the order 0-14 7 K, whopping 3-29 past two days.

The Phils selected high school shortstop Aidan Miller with their first round pick.

Note:  The link calls him 3B, but the MLB network called him a shortstop.

PhillyPhreak54

Need Keith Law Jr, mds, in here to grade the pick.

MDS

hes nailing some mexican broad, so major points there

was a consensus top 10/15 pick but then broke something and fell. guess theres a lot of uncertainty surrounding that injury, so this is once again a high upside pick. if hes all good they have a top 10 talent. if hes not, then its a wasted pick. well see.

seems unlikely to stick at SS. theyll probably try him at 3B and see if that sticks. if he hits, it wont really matter.

Hamate bone. Same injury Trout has and many other hitters have suffered - usually on check swings. I remember Dave Hollins having it once or twice.

Betcha his girls momma is fine.

Let's go bitches!!

QuoteRound 3, pick 98: SS/OF Devin Saltiban, Hilo High School (Hawaii)

Nearly two decades after taking an athletic outfielder from Hawaii in the Rule 5 draft, the Phillies may have turned up another.

Will Devin Saltiban be the next Flyin' Hawaiian?

"Shane Victorino actually reached out to me, texted me, and said, 'Welcome to Philly,'" Saltiban told KHON2 News in Hawaii. "I'm excited and ready to be on this journey."

While Victorino possessed elite speed and a rocket-launcher arm, Saltiban is considered above-average in both categories. A 5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitter, he has been coached by Kaha Wong, father of major-league infielders Kolten and Kean Wong. Kolten is a two-time Gold Glove winner.

"We're going to try to use some versatility with him, maybe play some shortstop, maybe some second base, maybe center field, and just give him an opportunity," Barber said. "Guys that have the athleticism that he has, it gives them a chance to do different types of things."

That's cool! It would be nice to have a Pineapple Head Jr on the squad. Or maybe he doesn't pan out and he's Dane Sardinha
