I was just reading the there are rumors that the Eagles want to trade one of the CBs on their roster and that this could help facilitate that while also freeing up cap space and getting something in return for a player they were just going to cut. Seems like a smart move? Maybe? Who farging knows. At the very least this dude saw the field with a good Panthers D and they are shaving salary so yay.

Edit: Also the CB group on this team is young as farg, which could be fun. Or terrible.

Of course it's a smart move. They move a player who didn't play to expectations and got cap relieve all while getting somebody whom might actually do something and/or flexibility to make other moves. There's nothing not to like about it.
