And I forgot to mention that the funeral I attended was a southern baptist affair.  By that I mean a solid hour of bible thumping straight out Alabama.  The luckiest guy at that service was horizontal.

My buddy's ex-wife took herself out this morning.  She was a hopeless junky and now he's going to have to raise two girls, ages 4 & 5 by himself. 

Honestly, they're better off because she was the kind to take them with her.

Now he puts on the big boy undies and raises two girls on his own.  Lucky guy, in a way.  Great ages, good luck to him.

Usually I see self-termination as the ultimate act of selfishness. But in this case, it's almost a gift. It's sad that the situation is like that, and that the kids will have to come to grips with it, but hopefully they will all be stronger people as a result.
