Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I feel sick cheering that Bailey FG

dallas sucks!

The 4-8 Dallas Cowboys are one game out of first place in the division. How many farging prime time games did the NFC East get this year?

Is there any logical reason that you were actually be rooting for Dallas in this game?  I'd get it if the Eagles and racists were sitting on like 10 wins and were legitimately good teams, but this team has like no chance to get out of the WC round, let alone win a SB.  It's one thing if you're still rooting for the Eagles each week.  It's pointless, but I get it.  Even in a lost season like this when I want them to lose because I know it's better for them in the long run, it' still hurts to actually watch them lose.  But rooting for all these other pieces to fall into place so that the Eagles can win the division with 7 wins?  That's cray-cray.  What's even crazier is that something like this happens to them when they are terrible, but when they're good and could use a little aligning of the stars, that shtein ain't happening.  Like, if it's week 17 and they needed a win plus 2 other teams in the division to lose, none of those 3 things would happen let alone all 3 of them.  But because they're the Eagles and because Philly sports teams can't have nice things, the Eagles beat the Pats in Foxboro (that alone is worth like a dozen individual miracles), and the Giants lose to the Jets in a game they had wrapped up, and the racists lose to a Cowboys team being quarterbacked by Matt Cassell.  And they needed a Pimp fumble to help do it.  When has that many things ever gone "right" for the Eagles in a span of roughly 30 hours?  Hell, when has that many things gone right for them in a span of 30 years?

Yesterday on his radio show, I thought Bomani Jones perfectly summed up the Eagles and racists fan bases.  He said (paraphrasing) that if the Eagles won the division at 7-9 or 8-8, Eagles fans would be pretty meh about it and would take the criticism that would come from the nat'l media of a 7-9 team winning a division with a grain of salt, but if the racists win it at 7-9 or 8-8 they'd get all butt hurt when the media would start piling on about the racists winning a shtein division at 7-9.

Bomani is spot on, but he obviously never met South Jerz Eagles fans or Jay.

im trying to think of a reason you wouldnt have been rooting hard for dallas...throw out the fact that wash is the most replusive organization in professional sports the eagles needed a wash loss

im shocked you would feel this way since you are going to the washington game...why would you not want that game to say be for the division?

except j we all know the eagles are going nowhere this year...at the same time why not try and extend the season as much as possible and have as many meaningful games as possible...im a little biased in this thinking since i have season tickets and dont want to do a 3 hour round trip to a game that means nothing but still its not like there is a franchise qb at the top of the draft that they could get or chip was hanging by a thread and losing out would get him got....those to me would be the only reasons to not root for good things to happen to the eagles and dallas winning last night was one of those good things

Ah yes...I forgot we don't want the Eagles to make the playoffs.

All that would do is put more money in lurie's pocket as the eagles lose another home playoff game.

for me the way to think about it is to think how i will feel after the eagles lost in the wild card round...will i be pissed that they made the playoffs this year...and this year i would not...plus the nfl playoffs are different than any other sport...you dont need to win four seven game series...as unlikely as it is that the eagles would do such a thing you just gotta get hot and/or lucky to make a run...something any playoff team can do in this sport

basically CKGM might be worse than matt millen and this franchise is going to get a lot worse before it gets better if he doesnt change so why not make the playoffs this year which would give the next four games meaning

then once the season is over deal with the darkness that looks to be inevitable down the road which is going to happen regardless of what they do this season

Any "success" that this team has from this point gives Chip some solid ground to stand on.  Lurie is loyal as hell, probably to a fault, but if chip gives him some home playoff revenue, even if it's only 1 game and they get blown out, Lurie is still going to wipe the slate clean with Kelly.  I know that they could lose out and there's still like a 99% chance that Kelly comes back for 2016, but I'm already done with him.  There are so many things about him that I flat out can't stand and I do not want to see him on the Eagles sidelines any longer than I absolutely have to.

Reid had some faults, but I never hated the guy.  I got sick of him and I realized after like 10 years that he hit his peak with the Eagles and it was time to move on.  But I respect the hell out of the guy and think he's a fine coach.  I have 0 respect for Kelly.  I'm so sick of hearing him toss blame at everyone but himself.  I'm sick of his philosophies.  I'm sick of his roster moves.  I'm sick of his culture and his smoothies and his love of players who can't play.  I want him gone and winning a lousy division doesn't do anything but guarantee at least a 2017 season for him....probably longer.  The division will get better next year and the year after.  I have absolutely no faith at all in this guy's ability to keep up.

nfl teams make very little in the big scheme of things for home playoff games

chip giving demarco murray 20 million guaranteed hurts the eagles financially more than a home playoff loss would help

short of a playoff run...and who wouldnt want that...i see nothing the eagles could do this year that would negatively or positively effect what happens to chip after next season...at this point if you want chip gone as soon as possible the best thing you can hope for is a 3-13 type debacle next season...that happens and no one remembers or cares that he made the playoffs this year...just like right now no one cares that he lost to new orleans two years ago...and actually the fact that he has yet to win a playoff game is brought up far more

thats more on zimmer and norv....they had to run on 2nd down and spike on 3rd. kick the fg.

teddy of course needs to have pocket awareness but that was putrid playcalling

Norv being Norv

No way you have a drop back there. You run it and then spike it.

But if you must throw it you best double or chip Freeney. Or throw a quick three step pass

MDS

they put themselves in a spot on 3rd down where they could do nothing...couldnt go over the middle...sidelines were going to be locked up. had to either roll out and waste time or just kick it. nothing was getting accomplished with that play.

just a mindless, incompetent string of play calling

like i said, they had to get what they could on 2nd down, spike it and kick it. the problem with this is the vikings will fall to the 6 and guarantee the 7-9 eagles will face the seahawks in the wild card round
