lol at farging seven seconds to switch channels...is that a joke?....you clearly aren't a sports fan...also can you go back to roku and use dvr to watch the last drive of a game or the turnover that just happened....or does roku have to reload and connect to wifi again...how long does it take for you to go from roku to a game on cable back to roku to a game on cable back to roku to another game on cable

again when citizen kane is over on roku and you wanna switch back to cable to watch andy griffith on tv land its pretty neat....when its live sporting events and you are flipping thru numerous channels seven seconds might as well be 7 hrs

if my cable channels started taking more than a half second to switch channels much less seven seconds they would no longer have any technology cause I would nuke it all

igy is definitely terrible with technology. I had to send him a powerpoint once on how to hook up his NES and Sega at the same time. But I'm not completely retarded with this stuff and I know that with certain devices (like chromecast and apple tv) when I leave the hdmi input that either of those 2 are connected to, each of those devices are powered down. Could just be a default setting that's causing it, but I don't think it is.

im a complete moron when it comes to this stuff...but this isn't a technological debate....its a matter of whether you care or not...apparently i want to go from channel to channel a lot quicker than most people

You'd hate watching tv at my place. I don't know if DirecTV's equipment has taken a complete nose dive or what, but I get about a 7-10 second delay whenever I change channels. Actually, it's not even limited to just that, it's pretty much everything.....pulling up the guide, hitting the info button, etc,etc. I hate it. Total first world problems.
