Worst aspects of the game to me weren't the mistakes (which are short term problems) but rather Byron Maxwell looking like a #3 corner when he's paid to be a #1 corner, and Jason Peters looking human for large swaths of the game until the rookies who were beating him got gassed in the second half.

chip doesn't coach during games only during practice....on sundays he runs his system hell or high water with no deviation....end of the first half was the ultimate example

Going back to the Andy days, so much about the run game depends on the first two offensive drives. No successful runs on those, and rushing the ball is essentially abandoned (especially if it means the Eagles are now behind).

If Murray breaks one in that first drive the whole mixture of plays in the game is different.

Chip traded away a back because he danced around looking for holes and only ran for 1300 yards last year, and now has an offensive line where dancing around looking for holes is the only way anyone's going to get yards.

on the missed fg parkey kicked it with 7 on the play clock. it reminded me of billy cundiff's missed kick in the afccg a few years back. though he at least had the excuse of taking too long to take off his sweatpants.

I'm actually pretty confident line play will improve as the unit works together more. But the second someone along the line gets injured, watch out. The Sanchize will be throwing the ball soon thereafter.

not just the line but the part of the line he got murray for....up the middle....shady was money on the stretch plays....it was the counter hands and the shotgun draw type runs where he needed to put a foot in the ground and fire thru the hole....Andrew gardner and alan barber are not going to make many holes

cohesion only goes so far....at the end of the day they have two guards who are terrible no matter how much in sync they get...plus its not like either of them never played....gardner got benched last year for being awful filling in for mathis....they are what they are....two journeymen

i saw that...but even so 3rd and 15 and you get an rb 1-1 on the open field. not ideal.
