theres no reason to believe jo jo is going to play next year but looking at their roster right now if he does the sixers will have four top eight overall picks in the last two years on the floor at the same time

thing is with this deal is that sacramento didnt dump the contracts of two 35 year old bench warmers....jason thompson played the 4th most minutes and had the second most rebounds on the team...landry started 15 games...so if they whiff in FA they didnt just not improve they are worse

the thing to hope for is boogie to get hurt...he missed 23 games last year and the kings were an abomination without him....basically they are a boogie injury away from being the worst team in the league

they already might be....and boogie was teetering on the edge with karl and ownership. then they whiffed in free agency.

im sure hes going to love playing another season with garbage for a coach who hates him.

sixers actually now would be wise to try to make the playoffs. kings are going to take care of that top 3 pick thing for them.

free agency has a long way to go...not getting rondo helps them...they will get people...just a matter of how much it improves them if at all...and with a healthy boogie they won 30 games in the west...they are far from the worst team in the league

but without boogie sixers are in business

im not entirely clear on this but it looks to me like the first rounder they got from sacramento is a one shot deal....they have to get it the first year they are eligible or they lose it....im only saying this because i havent seen any further protections for it past 2018/19

so i found clarification

the first rounder is top 10 protected in 2018 and 2019 and unprotected in 2020
