no money has been spent yet...they could pull back off the sixers deal then make other more intelligent deals to create cap room...basically what they should have done from the start

Not only would they have to reneg on the Sixers deal, they would then have to back out of FA deals on top of that.  I'm aware it is legal, but you cannot do that as a team and continue to function.  Not going to happen.

they wouldnt have to back out of the deals....they would simply have to trade two of landry thompson staukus to create enough money for the players they signed...this could easily be done for a much lower price than hinkie raped them for

remember the idea at the time of the sixer trade was that theyd use the cap room to sign much more expensive players than they ended up getting

You don't agree to a deal, announce it, and then renege on it.   If the Kings and specifically Divac pull that shtein, there's gonna be hell to pay.  They'll find doing business with other teams will be almost impossible after punking another franchise like that.

There won't be hell to pay. There's 30 (?) teams in the league. There's a finite number of good NBA players, and the Kings have some of them. Others teams would want these players regardless. The teams who care about petty shtein are the ones who stay in the basement.

However, I still agree that doing business with other teams will be almost impossible. Not because of this fake deal, but because the Kings are like the Phillies of the NBA. What a joke of an organization.
