Okafor is about as meh as I expected.  He desperately needs to get proficient at FTs.

if you mean meh as in not flashy then yes. but dude is smooth as butter down low. he's like he anti-nerlens with the ball in his hands. really curious as to how that's going to work with them both on the court.

its not going to work....the spacing would be atrocious with two guys playing two feet from the rim...at times on defense you could get away with it by having nn out defending the pnr but if you do that consistently you waste his dominant rim protection and jahlil is a terrible defender in general right now and will never be a rim protector

on offense it would be a catastrophe

in an ideal world jo jo is healthy okafor dominates offensively to where you can move him for a huge return and you go forward with jo jo and nn...you can work with that

SALT LAKE CITY - The 76ers have yet to decide on Joel Embiid's playing status and are still acquiring information regarding the healing of his right foot.

"No change as of yet," Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie said Thursday. "A number of meetings are happening about that, even one today. But we have meetings almost every day about that. We don't have anything ready to announce."

The team announced last month that Embiid had a setback in his recuperation. The 2014 first-round draft pick from Kansas missed what would have been his rookie season after undergoing surgery last June to repair a stress fracture in the navicular bone of his right foot.

It is unknown if Embiid, 21, will have to undergo another surgery, which could sideline him for part of next season. Nothing has been ruled out.

A source said he doesn't believe Embiid will be available to play at the start of the NBA season. There's also a legitimate chance that the 7-foot center could miss the entire season.

i agree with all of that. i mean i guess it's a good problem to have at the moment but in that first game, even furkan being close to him down low was messing him up. can't imagine how nn being within 3 feet of him is going to look.
