its just in the nba there is a difference between being good and being great. in baseball its the same thing. the sixers are going to be good....but great? ummmmm probably not. the philllies can easily be good by 17 or 18 (im not saying it WILL happen, just that it COULD), and that would give them a shot to win a title since baseball is a weird sport.

their rotation has a chance to be good within a year and a half, and i said, they'll have hundreds of millions of dollars to fill in the many holes in their lineup.

there's a very real possibility it will take that long

but sometimes shtein changes....and if things shake out right your phillies will have a shot. i wouldnt bet on it happening, but in the last few months the odds have certainly improved.

Embiid was one of the most highly rated college players to come along in the last decade. Assuming he heals properly his ceiling is sky high. Athletes with that much size and raw talent are hard to find.

since 2000 everyone has embiid in the top 8 prospects overall...his problem is that he has to survive TWO things...he doesn't just have toi live up to the projections....he also has to be healthy...chances of both happening is probably 10% but you still had to take him and he offers up great hope....more hope than the phillies top 5 prospects combined
