he was actually really good in april...may to mid-june he was bad...from then until late july he was great. and after that its been bad.

but consider
-hes injured
-hes a veteran on a horrible team and is surely checked out
-he only decided to pitch this year when a team close to house paid him an ungodly sum of money

all things considered does it really matter. does it?

the money is totally meaningless. even if burnett decides to come back next year, it wont hurt them. theyre going to suck for a long time...16 mil for 2 years of burnett will not factor into that one iota.
