In an otherwise worthless season, I do still get pretty excited when any of the core guys from 08 do something like this at the end of a game. It's one of those years where I really don't care about the team itself, but if Rollins or Choke or Grit do something in a clutch situation , I'm still going to celebrate it.

Choke could hit a go ahead home ahead hr in the top of the 9th and Paps could blow the save in the bottom half of the inning and I wouldn't care about the loss at all. I just like seeing a few of my favorite players do well, especially if it's in a big moment of the game. And always against the Mets.

i can see his point...but for me utley and rollins are in a different class than choke and hamels. the latter 2 i have no real special feeling for.

choke doesn't have the longevity of chase and gawd but thats jim thomes fault....however he had almost as much to do with their great years as jimmy did

im so scared his legacy is gonna be tarnished by the train wreck that the end of his career is gonna be

nobody remembers what he did 05-08...alls people are gonna remember is him withering in pain during the final out of the 11 nlds and the subsequently disastrous 5-125.

with that said he gets huge cheers during the reunions and what not.
