I find that all football messageboards except this one are like that.

It turns out most people online are idiots, except for me somehow. I never seem to be wrong about anything.

Dear RG3... an open letter and tough love from a fan.

This is really tough for me to write because I truly am a huge fan. I honestly believe that you have all the tools to be the best ever. As someone who was born in Japan to a military family myself, I kind of view you as a brother because of that shared experience.  And it's with that in mind... with all due respect and love that I say....

SHUT THE HELL UP. Seriously dude, it's time to shut up and look in the mirror.

When you were drafted you were quick to tell everyone who would listen that you were NOT just a running QB. What happened to that dude? Because somewhere along the way you started playing like you were looking for a good ESPN highlight reel, threw caution to the wind, and eventually hurt yourself. Then when you re-injured yourself, you hid the truth from the coaches and eventually did even worse damage to yourself and the team. Did you look in the mirror? NO. You blamed everyone else for your bad decisions.

Then this year, we all heard you complain that Shanahan was holding you back. You were ready.... Operation patience.... Cough, cough.... Bull****. You were horrible. You clearly spent the offseason focused on rehabbing the knee which was not strong enough for you to play well. And you clearly used time on your knee, that could have been used in the film room learning to better read defenses an master the nuances of being an NFL QB (more on this soon). It's understandable that classroom study suffered while you were working so hard on your knee... it really is... right up until you open your mouth and complain how someone else is holding you back when as we all have seen, you were not. You can start your mental rehab now by saying it out loud. "I was wrong" I wasn't as ready as I thought I was.". It's OK. We will forgive you.

But here's where I'm starting to get really disappointed... After the Eagles game you said: "Obviously, we were able to run the ball effectively, but in the passing game; they kind of had us. They kind of knew what was coming before it was coming and like I said, that is disheartening." Really? We did all right with the run but "they kind of knew what was coming" with the pass. Gosh... You mean it wasn't all of our play calling that we got out coached on. JUST THE PART THAT YOU WERE RUNNING.

Here's a thought... Maybe... just maybe... YOU WERE TELEGRAPHING YOUR THROWS. Why do you think it is you keep getting balls batted back at you? Because D linemen have figured out that you are staring down your receivers.

Fortunately this is an easy thing to fix with a little practice. Just look the defense off and mess with their minds. I know you can do it. You damn sure are smart enough. The only real question at this time is can you squash your ego, and look in the mirror. Or are you going to blame everyone else and waste the god given talent you have by not being critical enough of yourself to identify the things you need to improve.

One final tip... If you want to be the best, then pattern yourself after the best. You should be studying Payton Manning. If you can get anywhere near as good as him at manipulating defenses and picking them apart through the air, your natural athletic ability would make you unstoppable. And It wouldn't hurt to take notes when he speaks as well. No one says you can't be yourself. Just turn down the volume a little and let your play speak for itself. In the long run, you will be just fine.

Saw Jurgenson was lobbying for Cousins to come into the game sunday.

Yup. Funny stuff. Usually Jurgenson sounds like he's got water in his head, but he was pretty coherent during it....

Quote
I'm not sure if it was exactly a Cronkite moment, but Robert Griffin III lost Sonny Jurgensen on Sunday. At least twice.

The first time came in the third quarter, when the taterskins trailed 24-0 and had accomplished virtually nothing in their passing game.

"Why not play Cousins?" Jurgensen asked during the taterskins Radio Network broadcast, heard locally on ESPN 980.
"Robert's in the game, he turns, he gives it to Alfred Morris on the run, gains a yard," Larry Michael said. "You're gonna pull the plug already, huh?"
"It's not pulling the plug, it's getting a change," Jurgensen said. "Make a change. Can it be any worse? You get four yards passing in a half? I would look at the other quarterback, see if he can make something happen. It's not the end of the world. They take out pitchers, don't they?"
"They do take out pitchers," Chris Cooley agreed. "Having a bad game, have a seat."
"Having a bad game," Jurgensen continued. "The curveball's not breaking."
On the next drive, RGIII threw a poor screen pass that was nearly intercepted by Fletcher Cox. (It was called an interception on the field, and later reversed.)
"That was a horrible pass," Michael said. "Trying to dump it to Roy Helu, and he threw it right to Fletcher Cox."
"You've got to see Kirk Cousins," Jurgensen said.
"You're about to," Cooley agreed.
"Jeez. Give me a break," Jurgensen sputtered.
"That was just a horrible attempt," Michael said. "He throws it right to the defensive lineman. He wasn't even close to finding the receiver that time."
The interception, of, course, came back, and Griffin soon threw two touchdown passes. But Jurgensen still asked Coach Mike Shanahan after the game whether he had considered making a change.
"Coach did you ever think, when things were going so badly in the passing game, of going with Cousins?" Jurgensen asked during the postgame show.
"No, I really didn't," Shanahan answered. "I thought Robert would get things going again, feel a little bit more comfortable. But when you don't move the ball — sometimes it's a dropped pass, sometimes it might be a protection error, sometimes it may be a misread — but collectively, when you go on the road, you've got to play one of your better games to win. And we didn't do that today."

I think its funny that as much as RGIII tried to separate himself from '5', he's got the same exact  flaws.

They are literally the worst people on the planet.   I'll bet that bitch who had his punk ass flag ripped from his hands by Shady filed a police report afterward.
