I think we all agree that Incognito is at blame for his actions. There are no excuses for what he said. My view was more from a macro-point of view where it's a culture and he was acting within.

The same can be said about racists and bigots who have grown up in households, communities, and regions where their behavior was socially acceptable but it is still wrong.

Maybe this does blow the top off of the culture that is the NFL and it will have a domino effect throughout the pros and in college, where I feel it is more prevalent than the pros.

context people....im pretty sure everyone knows (including martin) that incognito didnt literally mean he was going to kill martin when he left that message...and i suspect it was even him trying to be funny....if by small chance martin did really believe that it was a legitimate death threat then he deserves what he got because that happened in march and he remained a dolphin without telling anyone about the call until november

Reading some of the news since I got home and I'm a bit shocked how much support he's getting.

Even some media are saying there's more to the story.

I understand everyone is wired differently but that is what I don't get - the lack of standing up for himself. And I am not talking about beating the shtein out of the guys either - just a straight up confrontation. I am a firm believer in "confrontation breeds clarity".

So if you have people taking advantage of you and you allow it to happen then you bear some of the fault. If someone told me to pay $15k to fund a trip I wasn't going on I would have told them to farg themselves. What are they gonna do?
