ice grillin you

hes a true game changer....you cant just plug someone in and have them do what percy harvin can do....seattle last year had the best defense in the nfl and an excellent power running game....what they didnt have was the ability to shorten the field with a big play guy....now their young qb has that in his holster

its a very low one obviously and its in a vanilla draft

the concussions or vertigo or whatever he has would concern me but otherwise i think this is a bold move by a team that is a superbowl contender

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Munson

Pretty much in complete agreement with IGY on this one. Harvin's impact on that offense >>>>> anyone they were going to draft with their 1st round pick.

The only reason I would pause for a second is the injury problem, but I'd still probably do it.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

MDS

seattle is off the charts now

easily the super bowl favorites in the nfc so long as pete doesnt farg it up*

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I don't blame them for doing it, I just think that they're giving up a lot for a guy with some questionable health problems.  And I don't think he's really elite either.  I know he has a pretty unique skill set and can change a game with 1 play (like PIMP, but more versatile) but I've never really seen sustained dominance from him.  I don't even think he's played a full 16 game season, has he?

Seattle's in a position where they can afford to gamble and overpay a little bit for a WR though so it makes sense they'd do it.  But just looking at what they gave up to get him, they def overpaid imo.

Boldin to the Niners for a 6th-rd pick

PhillyPhanInDC

lol that has to be one of the strangest trades in history.

The 7th rounder is meaningless, the mid rounder being a 3rd and a 4th isn't that big of a deal (although they have been drafting really well). It's basically a 1st for Harvin. Considering this is a team that really only had one major hole, they got one of the most talented guys in the league at that position to fill it. End of the 1st round is hit or miss. That guy could be terrible, never healthy, or both.

Also, Boldin for a 6th = what the farg?

General_Failure

I didn't know there were two guys in the NFL named Boldin. Who's this one that's been traded?

The man. The myth. The legend.

Sure is.  6th rounder?

49ers did well in that Boldin trade. Even though the Birds are a few years away I'd give up a 6th for him in a heartbeat.

Harvin went for more than I thought he would. I figured he'd fetch a 2nd. If a team offered a 1st for Desean I'd do it in a heartbeat.

boldin was gonna be cut....there was no market for him

hands down--id even go a high 2nd

Great trade by SEA to get Percy. Couple him with the other weapons and that's a legit O.

Also a very good deal by SF to get Boldin.

Ed Reed rumored to be going to SF too.

Now Boldin for a 6th is a god damn steal.
