i just watched the game on dvr....how on earth did collinsworth even after they showed the replay three times still try and say the OPI on barden was a bad call
He always gives the benefit of doubt to the WR's, he's one of the original divas.

Is anyone just impressed as hell with Fletcher Cox?  He's throwing lineman like they're ragdolls, and lets them hang on him and still manages to get the RB.

Cox is going to be something. He was splitting double teams and seems to always get a good push on pass downs.

The other rookies have been getting some humble pie lately though, especially Boykin. I think they didn't look terrible, and showed flashes, but the look like they are on a steeper learning curve that Cox.
"The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.""  R.I.P George.

Zanshin

All things considered, Boykin looks as good as anyone could have hoped he'd look at this point. Then again, he plays in the same secondary as Assy, so maybe it's just grading on a curve.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Those two are the best announcing team in football. Who would you rather have?

MDS

football announcing its admittedly pretty terrible

out of the main guys they are either off putting and annoying (gruden, siragusa, diedorff) or bland and obvious (aikman, simms, moose, dierdorff)

I'd rather have Pat Summerall & John Madden in their prime.  Since that isn't happening, I'd rather have nothing but the crowd noise since all announcers these days are annoying league-approved sycophants.

Aikman and a gagged Joe Buck, honestly.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Aikman and Al Michaels would be a great pair.

Now that is not a bad idea.
