The Sixers gave up absolutely nothing and got a decent player. But let's bitch and moan!

I'm fine with what they're doing. They're clearing space by giving one year deals. It'll give their young guys time to develop and they'll have the opportunity to sign a star at a max deal. Whether one will be enticed to play here is another story, but at least they'll have that option if one does.

it will either be two or none

the only way they are going to get one superstar to come is to get two

agreed. i'm not complaining about what they're doing now, maybe a little, but i just don't see them going into the season with so many swingmen. doesn't make any sense when that was already they're strongest position. something must be in their sights.

scola was amnestied today but i don't think he's a great fit either.

i just watched a clip of cousins highlights from this year and silently wept to myself.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

seriously how fun is this team going to be

kwame is high comedy and they have 8000 small forwards.

They will be paying Elton Brand $16m to play for the Mavs this year.

QuoteWhile Mike was shaving and I was finally putting a shirt on, Adrain Wojnarowski decided to do real work and reported that former number one draft pick and VETERAN BIG-MAN Kwame Brown has agreed to a 2-year, $6 million deal with the Sixers (2nd year is player option).

This lovely piece of news coming just hours after Bob Cooney tweeted that Doug Collins wanted another big man in order to move Spencer Hawes over the 4 and that Collins didn't want the pressure of replacing Elton Brand in the starting lineup with Lavoy Allen. Mike had some very mild thoughts on this subject earlier today if you'd like to take a gander.

From what Cooney relayed earlier today, I'm inclined to think that the Sixers will come out opening night with a starting lineup that includes both Kwame and Spence. Together. On the same floor. On the same team. In real life.

This is going to be a glorious drive to Vegas.

Hawes at the 4 and Kwame starting? LOL

i think kwame can be effective at the five if doug can change him to being a defensive and rebounder only player

granted its a huge if to change someone basically overnight after being in the league for a decade but he has all the skills to be an ibaka...he just has no heart or desire...if anyone can change him its doug tho...expect the worst and hope for the best
