You know who has no hope? Melky Cabrera. Popped for 50 games.

And there's 40some left to play in the reg season for the Giants....who are in a tie with the Doyers for 1st in the West.  If the Giants make the playoffs, they still wouldn't get him back until the 2nd round.  The Giants probably knew he was getting popped and that's why they got Pence.

so you remember when i told you homers that the phils should trade everyone and clear as much salary as possible so they could have a billion dollars to make a run in 2015 for king?

remember. remember.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Ozzie Guillen rips Hanley Ramirez

ESPN.com news services

Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen is not the least bit fazed by Hanley Ramirez's antics.

Guillen spoke openly about his former player when asked about a recent episode during which Ramirez angered an opposing pitcher with a celebratory gesture.

"That's Hanley," Guillen told reporters Thursday. "(If) Hanley hit a home run down by 30 runs, he would pimp it. That's the way he is."

Ramirez, who was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers last month, flashed a hand signal near his eyes after hitting a home run Wednesday against Pittsburgh Pirates ace A.J. Burnett.

Burnett struck out Ramirez in his next at-bat and yelled an expletive at the star infielder.

"It surprised me A.J. didn't drill him," Guillen said. "The way A.J. is, it surprised me he didn't do it."

Guillen acknowledged that Ramirez's behavior is indicative of an overall culture within baseball but stated that he doesn't care for it.

"Somebody hits a home run, they put on a show," Guillen said. "Somebody strikes out, they put on a show. That's the way the game is right now.

"I cannot say (anything) because my players do a stupid show. They're a last-place team. They score one run and they (act) like we score 100."

A three-time All-Star, Ramirez struggled offensively this season while with the Marlins, batting .246 in 93 games. The former NL batting champion has enjoyed a resurgence in his 22 games with the Dodgers, batting .322 with 23 RBIs.

How great is Ozzie?   I don't care how loco he is otherwise.  The guy is a bulletin board machine.

People have been running off at the mouth all day down here about this.

Omgggg Roger signed with Sugar Landddd!

He's a cult hero here.

Geowhizzer

Conjecture/common sense/cynicism says he's trying to pitch in MLB next year to re-set the clock on his HOF eligibility.

PhillyPhreak54

Interesting thought.

Wonder which team would sign him? Only the Astros i would think
