insanely stupid

they squeezed the extra playoff round in and had to hit their start date for the lcs' as per the tv contracts, and this was the only way to do it (since it avoids multiple travel days).

also, there is no off day between game 5 of the wild card/top seed alds and game 1 of the alcs. so the winner of 2/3 will have to sit around and wait for the other game to end, and possibly jump on a plane after it and play the next day.

bud selig is farging idiot. wait 1 year and then implement this.
