its crazy how the fact that the sixers spread the ball around translates into having quiet blowouts

when a team doesnt have a superstar and puts six or seven guys in double figures every night 20-30 pt wins sneak up on you...ive watched every second of every game this year and to me it hasnt felt like they have had a single 20 pt win much less a half dozen

jerus dunk was so sick tonight...where did that explosion come from...what made it most impressive was that he did it left handed....and what a sick job he did on john wall...took him completely out of the game

Still would like to see them beat a good team

totally agree...but dont even need to wait til february....denver miami atlanta orlando still to come this month...orlando will be the one im most looking forward to for an obvious reason - dwight howard

horford is out so atlantas front line wont present the challenge i hoped it would

the sixers do so many things right that i cant help believe that they will fare well against a lot of the better teams....instead of beating zesty teams by 20 they beat good teams by four....the question is how will they do against teams with a significant front line advantage...thats what i wanna see
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

yeah the balance they have is sick. they had 5 guys in double digits very early 3rd quarter...maybe even late first half.

Dillen

After tonight 7 guys are averaging double figures and Jodie is right behind them at 9.1 ppg.

Does anyone think the Celtics are really done? I figured they are a lot older now and it'll be hard for them in the shortened season but I still think they could get hot. It just excites me to think if they hover around .500 the entire year the only threat in the Atlantic is the Knicks... and I don't think they're a real threat

celtics just came back from 20 down to get within one....im not overly impressed with the knicks but they are not a good matchup for the sixers at all....i could see the sixers winning the division but if you asked me who would win a seven game series btwn the two teams id pick the knicks

Agreed. Short season with fewer off days hurts the Celts and even the Knicks to a lesser degree more than it does the Sixers because they are so young.  So their reg season finish might be a bit of fools gold. I think they win the division by a few games but struggle in the playoffs.

I got home too late to see this one but I watched the end of the Celts/Bulls and Boston looks horrendous.

Like Magic just said on the post-game; its only going to get worse too.

Choke on it, Boston.

SD

I know John Wall is still young and there are growing pains but he looks like he's regressed this season. His supporting cast isn't doing him any favors either.

yeah the team is so brutally bad that he doesnt have any choice but to suck...however that aside unless he improves his jumper he will never be the player that his talent should allow.....but easily the biggest factor in his lack of development is the team around him and even more so the franchise...the bullets are just a cursed organization that brings everyone down with them

It's all about taking care of business against the bad teams.   Last year the sixers couldn't do it, which led to shtein like getting blown out at home by the kings.  If the sixers keep running these bad teams off the floor, they will win the Atlantic.

Also why couldn't the sixers have stayed at six, they would have ended up with Monroe...

Stop calling them the Bullets.

Sixers are the fourth team since 1954 to start season 5-0 at home and allow fewer than 90 pts in each game.

MDS

is it me or were they sleep walking through another double digit point win?

i mean seriously how putrid is dc
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i just rewatched the game as i couldnt fullly follow it last night and what stood out is just how bad the bullets are...and is there anything prettier right now than a sweet lou running floater in the lane

sixers 9-3
knicks 6-6  3.0
celtics 4-7 4.5
raptors 4-9 5.5
nj nets 3-10  6.5

yeah i was talking about him last night...the last few years its been like "aww thats nice, sweet lou is getting some playing time" and now he's like a real man that can take over a game if he decides he wants to. granted i'm exaggerating but he looks so much better.

i don't want to get ahead of myself because yes they have been playing garbage but these guys are really good. even without  a big basher type they are going to make a nice run, at least in the east.
