And of course you leave the rest of the quote off. You take Iguodala off the team ET or Thad steps in and they don't miss much of a beat. You take Hawes off the team his backup is Battie. That's huge. Hawes might average a double double this season. You just hate him because he's white.

I think Hawes is more valuable than Iguodala. That has more to do with the position he plays than it does his skill.

iguodala is the best player on the team...thats not arguable...you wanna argue what their record would be if they didnt have him vs if they didnt have lou williams then im out as thats impossible....the bottom line is you have an unhealthy obsession with andre and no one is ever gonna change your mind

Jrue is the best player on the team. If you had to make a choice between the two players you can't honestly say you'd take Iguodala. And I'm not saying long term I'm talking next game you can either play with Jrue or Iguodala you know damn straight you're going with Jrue. Iguodala is replaceable, Jrue is not.

ice grillin you

no id take jeru cause of his position and age but to think hes better than iguodala is just lunacy.....and im the biggest jeru fan ever

The only game this year I was pissed with iggy was the Portland game when Lou was unconscious and iggy forced a three.   Iggy played great D on melo especially in the clutch.   Iggy also now has national respect for his defense  partially because of his world championship stint and will therefore get a lot more respect from the refs.  If ET tried to make that successful strip of Melo late in the fourth, Melo would have got the call.

ice grillin you

forget the refs....et doesnt have half the strength iguodala has

dooks is cut up and thats why he can body melo like a mother farger.....his strength is mad underrated

if he were good melo wouldnt have scored any points

and the sixers would have 300 nba titles by now
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I dont know how you can just annoint Jrue the best player on the team. It seems to me like they all all work together. I will agree though that you take Jrue off of pg duties this team doesnt run as well, but Jrue is more of a jumpshooter than a true pg--not to mention Iggy has better stats than Jrue in almost every category--including 3 pt %.

Im all about trading Iguodala and getting some pieces because they have to to make a legit run...but will his effort and game be missed--no doubt. Its a shame because people really do underestimate what iguodala does all around on the floor. There is a legit argument to keep a guy like that. Thad Young is not the answer, ET is creeeping up.

My biggest problem with Iguodala (for the 100th time) is that he thinks or thought he was in the Lebron/Kobe/Carmelo class when really he wasn't close. He wouldn't play team ball and would instead try to take games over. It looks right now like Doug has remedied that. He's not taking sloppy off balanced shots and being selfish with the ball. He's actually making sound passes and swinging out to the wing to help other players. I was against his extension because he's a 3 and unless you're in the Kobe/Lebron elite player class what's the use of having a player like Andre who is replaceable? I wish he could have developed a better jump shot because it may have put him in that upper echelon of scorers. I'm not an ET fan by any stretch of the imagination but if he starts the season at the 3 they're still 9-3. Jrue is the team MVP regardless of what the stats say.

I hear ya on some of those circumstances as he was getting a little greedy, but he was trying to do too much because no one else could. do you remember how farging god awful jrue was last year in the 4th q? the turnovers and missed shots were crushers. How could iguodala not take the last shots...regardless if it went in or not? collins saw this as well.

now it looks like jrue and lou want that shot this year-- which is good because both look a hell of a lot more confident this year....and it looks like andre is ok with that rather than spaz out flailing his arms like a little bitch on the court.

why not an ET fan?
