from the NFL rulebook:

Quote14-1-9: FOUL AND DEAD BALL FOUL
Article 9 If there has been a foul by either team during a down and there is a dead ball foul by the other
team in the action immediately after the end of the down, it is a double foul, and all rules for enforcement
of double fouls apply (see 14-3-1).

14-3-1: DOUBLE FOUL WITHOUT CHANGE OF POSSESSION
Article 1 If there is a double foul (3-11-2-c) without a change of possession, the penalties are offset and
the down is replayed at the previous spot. If it was a scrimmage down, the number of the next down and
the necessary line is the same as for the down for which the new one is substituted.

im a semi excited about this win so i started digging into vy's numbers a little bit

he now has 48 starts in his career which is exactly 3 seasons worth of football.......and in those starts he has 31 wins....im not good at math but that equates to double digit wins per season....dook is plain and simple a winner and maybe he should have been the starter from jump this year

discuss....
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Munson

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

the o-line was so horrendous then. not saying young doesnt have the escape ability, but nowhere near as close as vick. young would have taken a lot of hits or at the very least rushed his poor ass throwing motion due to pressure, and his ints would be league leading.

his mechanics suck and arm strength are so bad its painful to watch, but crazy enough the farger wins games. some people just have it in them. we know damn sure mcnabb and vick do not.

just to set the record straight i am not taking a side here just simply throwing it out for discussion and using some pretty strong numbers that at least make it an argument

i think we saw tonight what vince young is...but if what he is does nothing but win most of the time then why not

no?

Im down.

I'm through with the Vick era. Seen it done it--its not going anywhere. You either have it in you to win late in games or you dont. Since the majority of nfl games are won with 6 minutes to go in the 4th--yeah sure Id go with Young---this is all of course your d can hold up.

I already stated to start vick and bring vy to close.

MDS

lookin like vy will start next week, too

if he wins that it will be ON
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Winning most of the time is what Andy Reid does. I want winning when it counts, and Vince Young probably isn't that guy. Vick isn't, either, but he's got that stupid contract anyway.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I'm here to remind you of all your ridiculous statements like when you killed the jrue pick and blew him a year later.   Newt for president.

I'd like to see one more start out of him but I have no problem with it.  Once he got settled in I thought he played fine.  Two of his INTs weren't really on him, Cooper trips and the one that looked like it bounced off Harbor's noggin as he was being molested by the defender.  One more week of reps with the regulars should really help him.  Echoing Reese, I'm just about over the Vick era.

I don't think Young is the answer.  If the Eagles d played their normal game yesterday they are losing 27-10 going into the 4th.  That being said, IF he does beat the Patriots I dunno how you take him out.
