QuoteT.O. announces that he's heading to the IFL

Owens have announced, via a video apparently shot in his house (not to be confused with a press conference in his driveway), that he's joining the Allen Wranglers of the IFL.

"Uh oh!  It's official!  It just went down!  I'm headed back to Texas!  That's right.  IFL, here I come.  Allen, Texas, here I come," Owens said in a video linked from a Twitter message that says, "The WAIT IS OVER!!  GETCHA POPCORN READY!!"

Owens reportedly will receive compensation in the range of $250,00 to $500,000 from a team whose General Manager, former Cowboys receiver Drew Pearson, has criticized Owens in the past.

lol - its so he can pay his child support.

He said in a GQ interview that Trotter told him not to read the apology to McNabb when all that drama was going down - that Trotter tore the portion of the team written apology off the bottom of the page. Trotter got fired up and call TO out as a liar.

Les Bowen mentioned that he knows its a lie because TO left the printed page in the locker room and nothing was torn from the page.

What a bum.

Wasn't sure where else to put this....I'd be shocked if any team signed him as a backup next year.

Donovan McNabb expected Bears call
ESPNChicago.com

Donovan McNabb admitted Friday that he was expecting a call from the Chicago Bears after Jay Cutler went down with a fractured thumb on Nov. 20, but that call never came and the Bears lost five of their last six to miss the playoffs.

The Bears did put in a claim on Kyle Orton after he was released by the Denver Broncos, but the Kansas City Chiefs claimed Orton before he was available to the Bears.

Meanwhile McNabb, a Chicago native who was released by the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 1, watched Caleb Hanie lose four consecutive games for the Bears, who then turned to Josh McCown in losing their fifth straight. The Bears closed out the season with a win over the Vikes.

"I thought the Bears would call," McNabb said on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "So many people continuously talked about the Mike Martz offense and things of that nature. I personally didn't care about that. If you want to win and win now, you go out and get a better quarterback and you cater your offense to his strengths, and obviously the strengths of your team.

"Obviously it didn't work out well for them. It's unfortunate. I wish things would have worked out, but it didn't. We will see what happens from now on."
"The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.""  R.I.P George.

Maybe TO's new team in the WTFL will give him a call.

The man. The myth. The legend.

what a passive aggressive douche. who can stand this guy.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I remember when it was fun to watch him play football. That was almost a decade ago, though.

QuoteIt was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
