Not interesting.  Westbrook's jersey does belong in the ring of honor or whatever the farg the Eagles have to honor great players.  But you still don't take his number out of the system unless the player does something truly remarkable, like Reggie White setting the sacks record while playing for the Eagles.  Or if he dies while travelling at mach 1 in a vette like JB.  Those types of accomplishments gets your number pulled.

Being really, really good doesn't get your number retired.  Because if that's all it took then 20 would have been retired after Dirty wore it, 21 would have been off the shelf after EA and Mamula would have had to wear #58 while he was almost sacking quarterbacks.

Don't worry.  Westbrook's noodle noggin long forgot what number he wore.

I still can't believe how farging stupid this was.  "I WAS TRYING TO THROW IT INCOMPLETE SO WE DIDN'T LOSE YARDAGE."  Because the difference between Henery missing a 18-yder and a 19-yder was so huge

Stupid seams like it's not a strong enough word. You have one of the best young up and coming rb's in the league, and you give the ball to Ronnie friggen' Brown with a bad call for the ages in the red zone.

ice grillin you

the call was fine....last week when owen schimtt was running the ball down by the goaline everyone bitched and asked where was ronnie brown....now he gets it and people are still complaining....theres one person to blame for that play and its ronnie brown for inexplicably trying to throw it as he was falling to the ground
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Yeah not sure the angst over giving it to him there, shore.

Maybe Ronnie thought it was a goaline flee flicker
"And with 1:16 remaining this place is in a state of shock!"

Here's what I don't get about their goal line calls, one is they call plays that take time to develop. Why they do this I have no farging idea. Two they run it up the gut. The interior of the line gets no push yet they keep pounding it up the middle. Why not try a pitch out or do something with Vick on a roll out. I mean, the guy is the most athletic QB in league history.

id put him in full time but theres no reason that jj shouldnt be the center in short yardage situations and in fact if peters isnt hurt i move herremans back to guard

I agree, and as far as Brown goes, I'd say Shady is a lot more apt to make someone miss on a pitch out is why I'd rather see him in there

I don't think the call was fine at all. Yes, last week I bitched about Schmitt getting the ball, but never said anything about Brown getting it. All of those calls have sucked. This team hasn't run up the middle all year and then you do it at the goal line?? How assbackwards is that crap?
