No, this is great. Shame he isn't doing the 1st round pick so he'd get the full round of booing from drunk iceholes.

QuoteAs Peters and Kelce return to the offensive line alongside stalwarts Evan Mathis and Todd Herremans, one particular player of interest is 2011 first-round pick Danny Watkins, who ceded control of the starting right guard job last season. Motivated by the coaching change, Watkins, according to Roseman, is looking forward to a fresh start.

"We're really encouraged by Danny," said Roseman. "He's got a chip on his shoulder. He's really energized, literally, to come in and get somewhat of a fresh start. That's how he looks at it. He's been here in the offseason program. In fact, he got married on a Saturday because when you have a veteran coach you don't start your offseason program until today. So he had set his wedding date. He drove in from Texas. He drove by himself and didn't take the honeymoon. (He) came to be here on time for the first day of the offseason programs. He's got a great opportunity here to get a fresh start and we told him, 'Just go out and focus on your job. Don't worry about anything that happened in the past.'"

I really hope this thirty year old kid who's played very little football, almost none at the professional level, is a big contributor this year. :yay

He's become literally more energized? Is the whole team getting doses of whatever Azzinaro puts in his veins?

What do you think was in the smoothies?

I'm not defending Watkins in the least here because he sucks something awful, but when you consider the clusterfarg he had to endure with that old crippled retard offensive line coach they had, as well as the ridiculous blocking schemes they were using, it's safe to say he couldn't be any worse than he was last year.

If the guy ends up being even a serviceable guard it will be a minor miracle.  Again, not saying he will or has even a remote chance of being a good player, but still...

he sucked before he ever even knew who howard mudd was

I didn't watch Watkins much in college...but I was listening to Ray Diddy field questions on WIP Saturday and he said every person he's talked to was surprised he didn't make a good transition to the NFL.  In my opinion he's too mentally and physically soft to play in the NFL. That hoksie shtein might work in another city but in Philly being a mope is a one way ticket to fan hatred.

He's a 30 yr old rookie.  How many 30 yr olds tolerate being screamed at on the job?

If my boss treated me like Mudd treated him I'll tell him to go farg himself and walk out.

SD

It's football, you don't want to get screamed at then go back to fighting fires. NFL = Not For Long
