it doesn't really matter if the coach has a long rap sheet or gives out wet willies in the locker room, when the personnel eats a fleshpop.

If guns kill people then spoons made Rosie O'Donnel a fatass.

they want to hire the bills wr coach...sanjay something
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

lemonade was a popular drink and it still is

The guy has 10 years of experience working with average inexperienced WRs at Oakland, New York (Jets) and Buffalo, and he was at Cal for 2 years when pimp was there

PhillyPhreak54

Well that settles it then...welcome bacc, Jaccpot!

QB Eagles

Doesn't sound qualified. He needs experience with less than average WRs, not average.

They signed ex-Washington OL Josh LeRibeus

This dude is awful.

I'd put at least a little of this on Lewis. It is up to him to motivate his WRs (Aghololor) to not be a Hoyda when he is going to get hit while making a catch. I've said to friends I'd love for them to bring in Steve Smith for a year as WR coach. farg, Steve Smith Jr. probably could kick their ass.

WR coaches teach the offense, route running, reading defenses.  If a player is scared to get hit or can't catch, he's in the wrong profession and needs a guidance counselor, not a motivational speaker.

You can't motivate a turtle to be a rabbit.
Coaches are different but plenty do motivate their players and see it as part of their job. Some even become mentor and father figures. Others yell or give praise or take a rational approach but they see it as their job to teach concentration, mental toughness and competitiveness. Also, players who are afraid to get hit can and do still play in the league because they bring enough other redeeming traits to the table. Randy Moss is one who will soon be in the HOF. I remember when Dawkins about took his head off in the playoffs and intimidated him into being a nonfactor the rest of the game. Not just WR either, Asante Samuel used to arrange to be in a different area code when a ball carrier would be chugging toward his vicinity, and Deion Sanders was infamous for skirting contact. I'm sure there are any number of other examples I could come up with of good players that needed someone getting on their ass to not be a hoyda and catch the ball, but for who, for what?

I think you're seriously overestimating the impact of a motivational figure. There are a very select few individuals who have the ability to transform a person into something they are not. If a player is scared to go over the middle, Tony Robbins in an Eagles beanie probably isn't going to fix that.

More to the point, what the Eagles receivers lack most is talent. No amount of motivational pep talks is going to fix that.

I half agree with that, at least in terms of a position coach. I think coaches, other players in the locker room, and even fans/media can shame a player into playing tougher and it happens often enough. But what I see a lot, is that this is a temporary rather than permanent change, especially with older players. The biggest (external) motivational influence probably comes from fellow players, and along with a lack of talent the Eagles also lack in veteran leadership.

short careers and non guaranteed contracts are plenty enough motivation for 99.9% of nfl players

lol I hope you're right.

I watched this dude get pushed back continuously - sometimes comically as if he were nothing but a blocking sled.
