There's no reason to assume he was a good coach worth keeping, but there's also no reason to assume his replacement could do any better with the crap he has to work with.

Basically, get good receivers that know how to, um, catch.

Rome

They had them but one was a gang banger and the other was greedy.

I still can't believe Josh Huff was a gang member.

phillies will be under 500 this year...book it

QB Eagles

Greg Lewis sucked and the personnel sucked too.

It's a mini version of the whole team situation.

I'd put at least a little of this on Lewis. It is up to him to motivate his WRs (Aghololor) to not be a Hoyda when he is going to get hit while making a catch. I've said to friends I'd love for them to bring in Steve Smith for a year as WR coach. farg, Steve Smith Jr. probably could kick their ass.

I'd be surprised if they weren't picked for Hard Knocks, actually. I don't think it would be a good thing, but they make a lot of sense. I'm not sure why whomever wrote that talks about "The Carson Wentz Experiment." There's not really an experimental element to it. He's a promising young QB. Weird way to write it.
Yeah, they should have said "Carson Wentz era." It was a poor choice of trite cliche.

if greg lewis wasnt a former eagles no one would even be able to muster up a fake internet hot take on this
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

WR coaches teach the offense, route running, reading defenses.  If a player is scared to get hit or can't catch, he's in the wrong profession and needs a guidance counselor, not a motivational speaker.

You can't motivate a turtle to be a rabbit.

pretty sure this would never happen in real grown up nfl locker room run by a strong head coach....

QuoteFor example, on the day that Paul Turner was signed to the Eagles practice squad, the undrafted rookie drew a pack of reporters to his locker stall. Lewis, one of the few assistants to regularly venture into the locker room, stood behind the cameras and made faces and gestures to get Turner to laugh.

In the real grown up NFL locker rooms, the assistants are assaulting doormen and cops.
