the kendricks trade actually makes tons of sense....you can argue in theory they didnt need to sign 100 ILBs because they had a really good one to begin with, but once they did it actually now wouldnt make sense to keep him

mathis is a different story. as of now they flat out need him.

and even if he somehow does you still need kendricks to start and demeco to provide some depth

last year their lack of depth at linebacker really hurt them....their depth is the same this year....a bunch of trash [plus  the hope of demeco]

they have 1000 ILBs....kendricks is a FA after this year....they arent resigning him....go ahead and get something for him. ryans and alonso are your starters, jones and hicks are your depth. keeping 1 very talented player around as an insurance policy for 1 season doesnt seem necessary to me.

i hope they do resign him of course, but the writing is certainly on the wall regarding that

basically lil guys argument is that if chip is going to get rid of him you might as well get something for him....gee really?...the point is its idiotic to not like a studly young player therefore it makes no sense to get rid of him...and to use depth at the position when they have little to none as a reason why it makes sense it retarded...again not having depth last year at LB killed them

at least they have three running backs making a combined 25 million guaranteed dollars tho

didn't chip say something like...he's good "when he's on the field"?  i'm sure that's not the exact quote but i remember hearing something to that effect.
anyway, if they've already made up their mind to let him go at season's end, trade him now & get something in return. 

in a vacuum...yeah, kendricks is probably the most talented ilb on the roster...and mathis is the best guard...so of course the team would be better this season by keeping both of them.  that's not always how it works though.
