I think you guys vastly underestimate Maclin's talents. Other than being a step slower, he's a better WR than Pimp.

I've said before that I prefer Maclin over Pimp (especially for the long term) but at the same time Maclin doesn't draw as much attention as Pimp and coordinators don't gameplan around stopping Maclin.  But he's certainly the more polished and better all around player.

Yeah I disagree with that.  It seems to fall under the repeated so often it must be true umbrella.  I think 30/30 teams take Jackson over Maclin given the choice.  Maclin is fine but he doesn't excel at anything particularly.

its really not even close....mack is a perfectly fine wr and i like him...but you can get one or two wr's like him every single offseason....pimps talent is rare

I don't think they hate his evil black thuggery so much as they think a premier receiver has to be a 6'4 jump ball catching machine. Sure, it would be great if he was, even Vick could get that guy the ball, but he's not. He's merely an incredible threat when the offensive line can block and the quarterback can see what's going on.

I like Pimp being Pimp, too.  I just think that a few years from now when his speed diminishes, he'll be lucky to be an average receiver.  Just the same as Vick today.....without the speed and freakish athletic ability he had just 2 years ago, he's gone from being a big playmaker to just awful.

hes clearly not a protoypical #1 wr....but thats not what we were saying but rather pimp vs mack and theres no contest there....if the argument is that they need a big wr on the team then i totally agree....but ideally that big wr is across from pimp not mack

Jackson is basically Robert Meachem minus 5 inches

All this "game planning" is rolling over the top safety coverage in which there are plenty of 4.4 guys that can do what Jackson does. The one plus he has is returning punts, but even now aside from the one crazy play against the giants he has regressed to running backwards every time he receives a punt

I dont think he's bad, but please tell me what Jackson does majority of the time besides run a b-line up the field to pull coverage? You might get the occasional 10 and out, and if he gets by both the cb and safety he's gold, other than that he's not doing shtein besides going 4 for 40 yards. If youre happy with Jackson doing that than fine.
