He was an edge rusher who used leverage to get after the QB in the Big 10, usually those skills don't translate unless you're extremely talented in that department. Whoever they bring in as coach I hope to god they go away from the small quick DEs and go with rangy tall DEs like Tuck/JPP who can beat you with speed, athleticism, or blunt force trauma.

They took Teo in the 3rd round, Jarrett in the 2nd, and Watkins in the 1st. We catch a lot of flack as fans from the media for second guessing decisions but guess what we're right more than we're wrong.

This team is going to need a total rebuild with a new coach. There's maybe five players that don't make you think "this guy's gotta go."

There isn't a single player on defense who is an absolute "must keep" imo. Maybe DRC but he sucked something awful yesterday too.  Ryans is an upgrade over every LB in the last 5 years but I can't say he's "wowed me" yet.  I'd keep him simply for the fact that it could take a decade for this team to find an adequate replacement.  Kendricks got beat by Gonzalez a few times but he covered him well on a few other plays too so I'd probably keep him around as well. Everyone else on defense can gtfo.

Yeah, how'd I forget the Cox?

There's really only 2 absolute must keep guys on this team and that's Shady and Pimp.  Pimp is still struggling this year too but that's due to a crappy online not being able to block long enough for deep routes to develop along with Vick being abysmal. The rooks are still relatively unknown/unproven since the body of work is still small, but a couple guys like Kendricks and Cox show enough potential that I at least haven't grown to hate them yet.  Maclin, Avant and Celek aren't elite but all 3 of them would be perfectly fine with a good QB. 

If it were me blowing the team up and rebuilding, those few guys would probably be safe  is all I'm really saying.

I think you guys vastly underestimate Maclin's talents. Other than being a step slower, he's a better WR than Pimp.
