i was looking at comparable qbs to 5's talent level within his era...basically the "solid starter" group from the 2000's. so take out manning, brady, brees, etc. and take out marginal guys like delhomme or chad pennington.

among his cohorts, donovan washed out at an average point and stopped being effective at an average point. all in all he was an adequate player with a repulsive personality.
