lol seriously. Everything McNabb has ever done good has been due to the other parts of team, or not good enough. Everything bad that he's done has been completely 100% his fault and no onus needs to lay with the surrounding cast or the coach at all. Okay.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists." - Yosemite Park Ranger

General_Failure

So, he plays a team game or something? Odd.

The man. The myth. The legend.

PoopyfaceMcGee

McNabb started the AIDS epidemic.  But in his defense, he thought it would be a hilarious joke.

General_Failure

And it was! But like all McNabb's jokes, he pushed it until well after it stopped being funny.

The man. The myth. The legend.

he was great in that Packers game, including 4th and 26, remember the spin out of KGB's sack attempt and the Pinkston td throw?  he was really good that game.

so good that he needed a lucky fluky play to just get it into OT and a typical favre late game crumble mush brain interception to win it

he was good, the defense was terrible, i think the packers had 4000 yards on the ground and chewed up the clock.  but you're right, don't credit him for anything, ever.

i will be forever bitter over his 1 2 3 4 5 disgusting playoff losses and general embarrassingly unfunny personality

he can rot in hell with his fat attention whore mother
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

ice grillin you

the fact that his personality is easily way worse than his big game choking really shows how annoying of a human being he really is

so does the fact that hes arguably the best qb of all time for a franchise thats been around for almost 80 years yet isnt liked that much
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Philly fans are really being villainized more than anyone else this week.  It's much more annoying than usual.

Eagles_Legendz

I don't care about the national media pushing their stereotypical and old Philly fans suck storyline.  I've gotten so used to it that I'm numb at this point.

The thing that bothers me right now is the myth that is being perpetuated about McNabb's treatment in Philly for 11 years.  McNabb was treated very well and was well liked by the vast majority of Eagles fans until the last 2-3 years, and there are valid reasons for why people disliked him on a personal and professional level that are conveniently being overlooked.  He was booed and he was criticized, but no more than he would have been in any other city with actual fans.  He was hardly spat on and ruthlessly treated here.

Whatever, poor Donovan.  I can't believe he was treated so badly.  It's a wonder he didn't hang himself.  Give me a farging break.

this is an actual quote from vonnie holiday today in the waspo:

"It has to mean a lot," said taterskins defensive lineman Vonnie Holliday, who has been in the NFL one year longer than McNabb. "You talk about a guy who did so much for an organization. He was the face of that franchise for 11 years. . . . As much criticism as he received throughout his tenure there, year in and year out, when you turn the TV on and it's playoff time, the Philadelphia Eagles, they were in the talk. Donovan McNabb and what he's done there, he's respected around this league."

who the flying farg is vonnie holliday??

mcnabb was in philly for over 1400 days...how many of those days was vonnie in philly for?

like vonnie holliday is farging daniel okrent and philly is the emerald chessboard

i generally dont care what people say about philly and its fans...in fact i most often embrace it...but when this farging douche bag doesnt know the first thing about mcnabbs career in the city spouts off because he has a mic in his face the week of this game it makes me sick

but even more than that it disgusts me that people around the country actually think donovan was treated badly here...he was godlike for the first half of his career...and liked a lot for all but possibly the last couple years of his career...and even at the height of dislike it wasnt like he was run out of town...the vast majority just knew it was time for a change

This is exactly what I'm saying.  It's the one thing that is really bothering me this week.

Haven't read most of this thread but honestly, I just read that Cataldi is setting up some big thing to boo the crap out of McNabb and really? I mean, REALLY?

:boom
"Oh, yeah. They'll still boo. They have to. They're born to boo. Just now, they'll only boo with two Os instead of like four." - Larry Andersen

General_Failure

Did Donovan farg Cataldi's mom or something? Let it go.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Munson

It's literally the only time his name ever gets mentioned/remembered anymore, so he's trying to capitalize on it by doing it again. Douche bag in every sense of the word.

I read something on the Phils MB about how he "fired" Shoulderpad Shaun from The Dirty Thirty because he wouldn't go along with whatever this clown was setting up.

What the hell is he going to do?

What a putz.
