4 regular season games a game against an uninterested and possibly hungover mike vick

what a legacy

Pretty sure if you did the best 5 games of any QB's career they would include regular season games. I think it was best games in terms of stats, of what the game meant at the time, and not the best games in terms of far they went in the playoffs. Otherwise it would be the 4 games that led to NFC Champ games and the one where they won.

Marge: Its not BATMAN!

Its funny most of those games were early in his career.  I remember thinking at the time he was going to be a clutch QB....boy was I wrong.

so even though when you think of the best mcnabb games you think of the regular season, we now get to remember games that led to games that they lost and the one game that they won that led to another game that they lost.

but he threw for a bunch of yards against the cardinals so hes the greatest qb in eagles history
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'm still a McNabb fan but I couldn't disagree with you any more.  First off, I can think of quite a few playoff games for Elway, Montana, Young, Favre and Aikman that were off the charts awesome.  Even if you were to exclude the Super Bowl, each one of those QB's has at least 3 great playoff games.

As for McNabb, he was horrible in each of his playoff losses, but he doesn't really have many truly noteworthy playoff performances even in the post season games he's won and there aren't really any playoff games that come to mind where he undoubtedly made plays at the end of the game to win it other than the Green Bay 4th and 26 game....he gets a lot of credit for coming up big at the end of regulation and OT and it's basically his best playoff performance imo.

He's had a couple other decent games, but nothing that he did in those games really "wows" anyone.  When you look back at the stats from each of his playoff wins, you notice a lot of pedestrian numbers.  Granted, you can give him credit for not throwing a bunch of picks, but at the same time there isn't a single post season performance of his that I would rank in the top 20 of best playoff performances by a QB.

other than 4th and 26, which was more of a defensive meltdown than some kind of heroics from mcnabb, i cant think of anything memorable he did in the playoffs.

and its not like he didnt have the chances.

but wait! andy's play calling sucked! and the receivers weren't good! and the defense blew the game! of course!

he was great in that Packers game, including 4th and 26, remember the spin out of KGB's sack attempt and the Pinkston td throw?  he was really good that game.

so good that he needed a lucky fluky play to just get it into OT and a typical favre late game crumble mush brain interception to win it

actually this was one of the few if not the only really big game where he was great. though its possible he didnt even know a playoff berth was on the line until after.

he was good, the defense was terrible, i think the packers had 4000 yards on the ground and chewed up the clock.  but you're right, don't credit him for anything, ever.
