So wait, Gagne, Carter and Briere are all still on this team right? None of them have been moved yet? Doesn't camp open soon-ish? This team needs to get a move on so I can obsess about the depth chart when I'm bored at work.

he somehow managed to play a seven game playoff series without getting a point

in the nhl is there a drop dead date when you have to be under the cap....or would they have to move someone before they sign zherdov (if they even are)

The Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Antti Niemi also returned to Finland recently and went on to praise the atmosphere at the games in Philadelphia.

"I think the crowd in Philadelphia was probably even louder than in our place", Niemi recalls. "The fans there gathered around to grill outside the arena already in the morning. It was totally amazing."

Niemi thinks the Flyers just ran out of gas in the finals.

"They are a good team, but they probably ran out of gas. They played the same players a lot."

ha, and thats just a thought.  I think having a finisher like Zherdev with a guy like Giroux who has that top level playmaking ability, JVR as a throw in isnt bad.
