Not directing this at DH, but is there anything less interesting in sports than sponsorship changes?  Does anyone really pay attention to it or even care for that matter?  I've never referred to any sporting event by it's sponsored name and I think it's got to be about the worst advertising method a company can spend it's money on.  Then again, these companies must turn some sort of profit from doing it otherwise they would have stopped by now.

Sporting event dook, not arena.  But I agree though, if my teams have to play in a stadium that has a corporate sponsor, then I'd prefer for it to have a name that has good flow or is somewhat relevant to the city/teams.  I still wish the Eagles/Phils would have gone in the same direction as teams like the Broncos or Browns when it came to naming the stadiums.  Or even the Rockies, Cards or Brewers.....sure they are corporate names but are highly relevant to the team/city they play in.  Oh well.  It could be worse....at least we aren't going to games at Tampax Field or some shtein like that.

More details of Big Ten alignment

I hope PSU gets an annual crossover game against someone like Nebraska or Iowa, not MSU.

SunMo

there was a 50/50 chance for penn state to be in the Big Ten championship game each year, and they lost

Interesting points here

-starts with an eight-game conference schedule and only one non-division "protected crossover"
-Protected crossovers: Michigan-Ohio State, Penn State-Nebraska, Minnesota-Wisconsin, Northwestern-Illinois, Purdue-Iowa, Michigan State-Indiana.
