temple is different because they are so bad that a coach who stinks goes there does ok and gets the miami job

you can win at northern illinois or ohio and not be looked at as a good coach...but win at temple and you must be a genius...thats how bad the program is...golden gets the miami job which is infintely better than minny and pitt

a lot of it had to do with where temple was and how laughably bad they were. golden got so many puff pieces written about him about how awful the program was and how amazing he was for turning it around.

meanwhile nevada has 0 football success and that old dude took over and within what, 3 years hes epicially beating boise and winning the wac (which is light years ahead of the mac). but hes in nevada and no one gives a shtein. golden is in philly and its news. and he didnt even win the mac or beat anybody. he couldnt even win the mac east.

but he played the game right and conned his way into a good job. this new guy wont be able to jump to miami, but if he wins he can go to rutgers or syracuse or something within 3-4 years.

can anyone explain to me how it makes any sense whatsoever that these ohio state suspended players get to play in the bowl

thats why they did it...but how is it at all explained...i could see if they wanted them in the bowl and didnt suspend them at all...but to give them a huge suspension...five games imo is way much for this...but to go that far and just skip the bowl game...have they said how that is justified?

wow @ today's games

first Army wins a bowl game for the first time since the mid 80s, then Kansas State gets screwed out of a tie because they were flagged for celebrating too much on a tying TD, then the last 2 minutes of this UNC/Tennessee game has been crazy w/ flags, reviews, time running out, time not running out, OT....

and there's still another game coming up with a few 1st-rd picks (Jake Locker, Prince Amukamara)

That Army win was cool and it was at SMU.  Nebraska looks like shtein right now against Washington.

Nebraska looked a lot like the birds did on Tuesday night, no one gave a shtein.

Still can't believe that Kansas St. player was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for saluting the crowd after he scored.  Unbelievable.

Holy shtein!  Watching this replay of the Music City Bowl.  What a total collapse by Tennessee.  3 personal fouls at the end of the 4th and start of OT.  Should have been 4 with a blatant late hit on that game tying drive by NC.
