he kills the team and then only proceeds to really bash sarge and otherwise make very minor complaints about tmac and wheels.

Tom McCarthy, the play-by-play man on TV for the Phillies, has a great broadcasting voice and shows a lot of excitement throughout the games. However, sometimes it feels as if McCarthy gets more excited for the promos than he does the action on the field. I'm not sure how many more "New York Life's Safe and Secure" at second base ads I can take.

Dead on.  He does have a good voice but gets out right giddy about any promo.

In reality, it doesn't matter how good or bad any of the current announcers are.  Harry died last year and regardless of who replaces him, it will never be good enough.  You don't ever want to follow/replace a legend.  You want to replace the guy who replaced a legend.

the problem is tho that they didnt replace harry....they continued on with the same dreck that was already in place

and no one is asking for another harry cause like you said that isnt gonna happen but there is something in between the worst announcers of all time and harray kalas

i think if you had franzke la and sarge doing tv people would be estatic rather than comparing them to harry
