You mean the position where they learn behind a pro-bowl QB for four years rather than being thrown to the wolves. And then are given the keys to the car only when the pro-bowl QB is in the last year of his contract and the team can get compensated well for him? Oh and let's not forget that they surrounded this new QB with young, top-flight talent at the skill positions.

What a terrible position. McNabb should have been driven into the ground like an old Ford Escort Wagon. The reins should never have been passed. How could they ever even think to put Kolb in this kind of position?
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Sure he does...however, the FO should never put these guys in the positions they do

why would you give him a shot if he sucks

either you think he can be good and now is the perfect time

or as you said you blow it all up including trading cobb

Kolb was rated in the low 2nd -to- mid 3rd, and the Eagles took him with the #37 pick since they scouted him for 4-5 years and there was a pretty good chance he wasn't going to fall to #57 since Beck and Stanton went soon after.  Reid sucks at gameday management and dieting, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to QBs....

I kind of understand what you are saying when it comes to the Pinkston and McCoy comparisons.  But as rjs pointed out he was allowed to sit for a few years, unlike those other two that were thrown in right away and clearly couldn't play.

Bottom line is Kolb was a slight reach at the time, but not that much of one.  I certainly understand being frustrated with the team, but you basically discount the guy when so far he has shown at least some ability.  The same could not be said for the other two.

Don't you have some children's Kolb jerseys you need to buy?

No, its not wrong. Its a perfect example of the FO overvaluing their draft picks or free agents.

Something that has been talked about on here for years. Suddenly its not an issue because its Kolb?

Drink the KoolAid much?

I've been here for about a month, how do I know what people talk about here for years? Are we supposed to take classes before signing up?

Again, answer my question... how is Kolb being overvalued? I don't see it. He was drafted to be groomed for the future... he's been back there for 3 seasons(?) now... and he's going to be given a shot. How is that being overvaluing someone?

So the front office should never put football players in the position to play football? Got it.

Are jay ess had a great post about how Kolb is possibly being put in one of the more favorable situations possible, and everyone seems to be ignoring it.  B+ for his effort, C- for all of you jerkweeds ignoring it.
