MDS

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Sgt PSN

I lol'd really hard when his mom called him a son of a bitch.

Meanwhile the self entitlement and overall shteintiness of people continues

Third incident in a week where a plane was diverted to land because of passengers fighting because of someone reclining a seat in front of them

Stupid farging idiots

Geowhizzer

Drives me nuts when the person jams their seat back on me.  Of course, I'm 6'4", so it goes right into the knees.

Would never divert a plane over it, though.  Every time but once, just a polite request to go up a bit was enough to solve the situation.  The exception, I just gritted my teeth and fought the urge to snap the guy's neck.  Now I just pay the extra $$$ to get the extra leg room.

Hate flying anyways.  Planes are not made for big guys.

PhillyPhreak54

That's the thing - the seats are made to recline so going back ssssslowly is the key. Or god forbid if someone has a bout of politeness and says "hey do you mind if I recline a bit?"

I will always pay for FC or Economy Plus on United so I have the extra room to stretch out. And if I am in FC on a 737 then I get the last row so when I recline there is no one behind me.

Allegiant and Spirit don't have seats that recline but they're the dregs of the airline biz.

The self entitlement extends to the carry-on bags too...the cheering crowd in my head erupts when I see people having to gate check their bags because they thought they'd try to be slick and "sneak" their steamer trunk onto the plane.

Spirit has business class and if you wait till you get to the counter you can usually book them for an extra $50/seat over and above whatever you paid for coach.  Depending on the route you might not even need them.  I've flown from Orlando to A.C. in the winter and basically had the entire rear of the plane to myself.  You just ask the stew if you can stretch out back there and they're usually cool with it.

I'd rather take Greyhound and have MDS sitting next to me reading Billy Beane's Moneyball bible than fly Spirit.

Justice Department to Investigate Ferguson, Missouri, Police

QuoteWith the help of the FBI, the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division has been investigating last month's fatal shooting of an unarmed teenager, Michael Brown, who was wounded several times by a Ferguson police officer. The shooting touched off several days of sometimes violent protest.

But this new investigation would be much broader, looking at the conduct of the entire Ferguson Police Department over the past several years.

The Justice Department will also look at the practices of the county police department, but that will be a more cooperative investigation, an administration official said.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Mahatma Gandhi, as everyone knows, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and his odd diet caused bad breath.

These conditions combined made him a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

Not surprisingly I know precisely where DIO ripped off that achingly awful pun from.

There's 24 more just like it too.

Ransom.

It was emailed to me today.  Have no idea where it came from but I love it.
