So, Ive been out of the loop for a week or so...Bell was only signed to a 1 year offer? Those farging deals drive me mad.

He is a RFA.

Right, which I thought meant he could sign a multi-year deal anywhere else but his original team. I guess I'm wrong though.

Still, I hate 1 year deals.

rjs246

A 1-year deal for Mike Bell gets the world's biggest yawn for many many reasons.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I thought he was bitching that he wasn't signed yet. Sorry

QuoteDuring the off-season, every day I think something’s going to happen. I go into the office every day thinking that. But the process just isn’t that quick on anything. I think that at some point here in the next couple of weeks we’ll have some things going on.”

no shtein.  it's called the draft.

next

QuoteGetting Stew [Bradley] back is like getting another draft pick. Obviously we rely on Stew a lot as our middle linebacker. Akeem [Jordan] was banged up towards the end of the year, but at the beginning part of the year I think a lot of people were talking about how well Akeem was playing. Getting both those guys back healthy, ready to go next year – that’s really exciting for us.

um, no it's not like getting another draft pick.  getting "stew" back is like getting an above average player coming off a major knee injury.

QuoteDeSean is a player that we’re all excited to have. We have a great relationship with DeSean and obviously there’s not a lot of value in talking about contracts publicly through the media.

yeah, because making a public comment like "we'd love for desean to be an eagle for the next 10 years" would be completely disruptive to any contract negotiations.

it should be noted that immediately following this comment, joe banner was seen removing his hand from howie's ass.

i didnt think it would ever be humanly possible to get more infuriated by someone simply opening their mouth then when banner does it but roseman has done it in record time.

They're afraid he's going to turn into another T.O. which is entirely possible.

why is that entirely possible

both are flamboyant showboats.

both play wide receiver.

both have drew rosenhaus as an agent.

both are/were severely underpaid and are/were looking to get massive contract upgrades, hence firing their previous agents and hiring rosenhaus.

most importantly, both play for a team that has a nasty reputation around the league for being cheap ass fargs and turning any perceived lack of loyalty from their players into even nastier public relations wars against the players.

ice grillin you

if youre saying that pimp will hold out at some point in his career i could maybe agree...even tho i dont

but no client in league history ever did what TO did...it probably will never happen again anywhere but it certainly isnt happening with pimp rosenpenis and the eagles...to even think it would is to be delusional and beyond pessimistic

Rome

you asked me why it was entirely possible and i gave you 1/2 dozen reasons.

i love jackson same as you but a lot of farged up shtein happens with this team.  it's not even remotely a stretch to think it could happen with a rare talent like him.

BigEd76

As expected, the Saints didn't match the Bell offer.  Howie partied....
