thats what made the throw to pimp so good...perfectly in stride...something mcnabb often has trouble doing even on his best days

garcia is a perfect example of a horrible arm but was able to run the offense very efficiently because of accuracy

put it this way theres been tons of successful quarterbacks in this league with subpar arms...has there ever been a great qb with bad accuracy?

yeah hes probably the only one....but he arguably had the strongest arm ever of any good qb which made of for his accuracy issues...

you also have to factor in that he largely played in a era that didnt completely turn the rulebook over to the offense

drew brees is not doing what he does now if he plays in the 80's/90's

and because of that is why it doesnt matter if cobb doesnt have the strongest arm because having a cannon in todays league isnt the advantage it was 25 years ago

The problem is he gets nothing behind his throws on out routes and comebacks. He can be as accurate as he wants, the minute he gives an athlete a chance to make a play on the ball, it'll be going the other way. Which wouldn't be too big of a deal except a very healthy chunk (most) of the short/intermediate routes this offense runs are hooks and out routes.

Anyone who goes back and watches him throw out patterns (in the Saints game especially) will see that. Any team with an Asante type player at CB will eat Kolb up on those routes.

IGY, you are an idiot. By saying Kolbs arm is weaker than Bradys, which it is, doesn't mean I'm saying Brady has a strong arm, or is known for having a strong arm. Brady can drop bombs all over the field, Kolb's arm is a wet noddle. Of course there are a million other things that will separate them when Kolb flames out in 3 years. No one's saying other wise.
