Maps out early this week!  Birds on in the Pacific.  Mele Kalikimaka.
Sorry, I don't speak hip-hop.

Didn't you watch Gilligan's Island as a kid?  Bunch of white guys dressed as Pacific islander natives going "Unga, uga, moola moola wiki wiki".

I don't think the Eagles would have looked past the 9ers even if last night didn't happen.  That team has played tough for most of the season.

A 6-7 team coming cross-country to play them in the one game for shtein talking purposes I can't afford for them to lose.  I don't like it.

They should win the game... but I've been on this ride before.

6-7 coming across country on a short week

this is so similar to the game in 93 we were all talking about the other day where sf won in OT in week 16 that should have cost the eagles home field but st louis gagged against detroit the next week...hopefully if the eagles lose this game dallas and giants lose this week...both of which are distinct possibilities

Weren't the Niners out of the playoff race in 03 when they won in OT?  That game still pisses me off.  Was that not the unveiling of the black jerseys?

i thought it was the black jersey debut as well but after a little investigating i found out they actually debuted them against the giants earlier that season

SunMo

have i mentioned that i hate the black jerseys?
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

General_Failure

I think that game was the first time they did black jersey/green pants, which is still a horrible look.

The man. The myth. The legend.

black jerseys with black pants might be kinda hott.....cant be any worse than their regular green/teal/blue jerseys

side thought

how badly is banner inc seething now with the halladay stuff? they come off a big win, 1st place, highest rated snf game, fresh off the andy extension and this week had 'kiss our rings' written all over it. then the phils steal the show.

i would not want to be banners secretary this week
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QB Eagles

Tomahawk

How'd the Phillies steal the show? By giving up a dominant post-season pitcher for a guy who hasn't ever pitched in the playoffs? Don't get me wrong Halladay is great, but it's a lateral move.

Sgt PSN

it's still a national story and getting much more attention than the eagles after their biggest win of the season.  not to mention that baseball is supposed to be completely irrelevant in december and now it's stealing the eagles thunder

MMH

If Bannor and co. could actually win in Feb, maybe the town wouldn't spend so much time obsessing about the Phillies in Dec.

i think thats the point...the eagles win was clearly more important yet the phillies have completely drowned it out

that's the thing though....if you go back as little as 4 years ago, the phils were barely on the radar in sept when football season started.  then the phils had a crazy september run in 07 that stole attention and ratings.  then you have them winning it all in 08 and getting back to the ws again this year and hogging all the glory until november.  so when the season finally ended you know banner had to figure that at least december still belonged to him and the eagles.  oops.

It's simple, every years it's a predictable cycle for the Eagles.  Good Start - Rough Middle - Hot In December - Rip Your Heart Out In January.

Story lines been written about before.

Old news.

Same pain.
