They really speak for themselves. Once you experience how much easier and user friendly they are, there really is no going back. Until Microsoft creates a more stable and superior operating system there is no need for me to go back to PC. I used to have a PC when I was younger and it sucked, had issues, eventually just stopped working all together and then I went and bought an XBOX 360, reluctantly, and of course had/have issues. Next time it breaks I can honestly say I am done with Microsoft for good unless they somehow start making reliable systems/products.

I'm no trying to argue here, I'm just stating personal experience. PC people have a stick up their butts because they hate people talking bad about PC's. Carry on chaps...

i haven't had a single problem with my xbox as far as the operation of the system goes.  games play smoothly, no problems with setting up internet connections or anything regarding the basic functions of it.  once i tried to hook it up to my wireless network and sync it up with my computer to use media center and the dvr features, i had nothing but problem after problem with it.  there are no clear instructions on how to set it up on the xbox website or the windows website but both websites have sections dedicated to telling you how awesome these features are and how easy they are to set up.

i called xbox tech support and asked them how to set it up and i had 2 different "techies" tell me that xbox doesn't provide those features and i had to have them look on the xbox website to see what i was talking about.  after many painful hours of dealing with tech support and googling for suggestions i finally got it set up and could run media center through my xbox.....except that whenever i tried playing video files from my computer i kept getting an error message.  so i googled the error message and found out that you need to download some microsoft video editing software and use it to merge your video file into 1 complete strip.  i didn't know this but apparently video files are broken into smaller fragments and the only way you can stream them through your xbox is if you merge them together and create a new file.  should be easy enough except that even small video files (<400mb) take about an hour to convert.  and you can only do 1 at a time.

iti's farging ridiculous how much time i've spent on this crap.

me too.  well, sort of.  the thought has crossed my mind to buy windows 7 so i can run that instead of vista.  i farging hate vista.  going to try to convert to mac about a year from now so if windows 7 is superior to vista then it'd be worth $200 to run it for the next year.  but yeah, no more microsoft computers, game systems or anything else for me ever again.

farg that, i'll argue.  pc's farging blow.  microsoft blows and why anyone would feel any shred of loyalty to microsoft is beyond me.  they suck, their service sucks, their support sucks and bill gates' farging hair cut sucks.  it's funny because everyone has a complaint about pc's in one way, shape or form and yet they keep buying it.  but these are the same people who will go to a restaurant, get an undercooked steak and never go back because they didn't get what they paid for.

PSN...check out MacMall right now if you want. Macs are on serious blowout sale with the end of the year. Like huge rebates and such. It might be worth it to do it now while the prices are so low.

i bookmarked the site though to refer to when i'm ready to buy since i'd prefer not to give my business to best buy either.  they're like microsoft with a big yellow price tag.  farging idiots.

PhillyGirl

They're awful. I went there the other day after getting the Mac and they were morons. The dude was this little, smug, rude little nerd type. I wanted to smack the glasses right off his face.

ironically, i got some really good info on the mac from best buy which is what made me decide that i do want to convert.  dude knew what he was talking about, broke everything down in plain english, answered all of my questions thoroughly and in some cases, went into further detail than what i originally asked.  but that's because the mac section actually had a dude from apple at the store that day so he knew his shtein.  but the in-store employees are farging morons who know just as much about computers as i do.  their geek squad is garbage too.

wow, look at pg being all uppity now that she's a mac user.  i knew that upon purchasing a mac there was a transition process that takes you through the full spectrum of douchebaggery but i didn't realize it happened this quickly.  i may have to reconsider converting to mac now.

Resistance is futile.

So I got a new wireless keyboard/mouse....a Microsoft one and got a great deal. Works great on a Mac.  :yay
