look on the bright side, its just the flyers
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I haven't read any of the last few pages so excuse me if im repeating what im about to add..

farg. Really, farg. I'm tired of not winning. farg.

yeah, this was lightning in a bottle...they aren't a team trending upwards with huge questions at goalie, aging defense, and maxed out with the salary cap

whatever, they came back from an 0-3 deficit and an 0-3 lead in game 7. then they steam rolled a hot ass goalie. their defense failed them, they have some young talent that can learn from the vets. Get a fargin goalie that can handle pressure!

The BIGSTUD

If there ever was proof that destiny doesn't exist, this is it. After all the team went through and they tie it with minutes to go? Then lose like that. Only Philly.

But in sports, you really need the better team to win and the Flyers got there with a little bit of luck, and a lot of grit and sheer will, with less talent than the Blackhawks for sure. I'm not sure about the other teams they beat.

But will and grit only carry you so far. You need the best team to win most of the time and I thought maybe this team was so gritty they could do it, but they got outplayed for the entire game until about 10 minutes left in the 3rd period.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

DH

I hope the hot ass goalie youre referring to was Halak and not Niemmi..even though that was still be ridiculous.

Not saying the flyers were better, t he hawks won, what 15 more games then them? either way the flyers did what they could, made a hell of a run to win it and ran into a better team.

Relax everybody, they'll be back next year. All they gotta do is get into the playoffs via a shootout, miraculously avoid playing the Caps or Pens, win a series or two after being down 0-3, and they'll be right back in the Finals.

:-D That cheered me up!

yep, I think Niemi is not that much better then #49 bottom line is they made changes and Lavi didnt in this series. ughhhh i cannot wait to get to work or deal with the public tomorrow. I will be rocking flyer gear just to fargin mess with the bullshtein hawk fans.

QB Eagles

So what other teams in US pro sports history have lost 6 consecutive trips to the championship? I got the Cubs and the Lakers and I think maybe the Red Wings did it too. Anyone else?

Well we got the Phillies  :paranoid

Don Ho

Yes I'm pissed.  Real pissed.  I hope to look back on this and realize how fortunate (won't say lucky but.....) they were to get this far.  We weren't even thinking about the playoffs 6 weeks ago.   I can't really call them losers.  We never  saw a game 6 in the Cup finals back in April.  A game 7 in Chicago would have been something else but they probably would have been dead by Friday night.  With that said it hurts because these chances are so rare and you have to seize them anyway and anyhow you can.  I can't wait another 13 years.

Going to be a long summer.  Not counting on the bums to be cheering us up anytime soon.
